Publisher's summary

Clam jam. Definition: the female equivalent of a cock block. Example: You're chatting with a guy you're interested in, and your friend comes along and lays claim to him.

Maggie: That's my life - except it's worse. My friend who keeps "jamming" me is my gay roommate.

Fact: He went home with three - yes, three - of the guys I had been so sure were into me.

Fact: He's really pissing me off. I'll never manage to get a boyfriend before the age of 50 if he keeps this up.

Fact: Secretly, I wonder what it would be like if he weren't gay. Why do all the hot, sweet, tender-hearted guys have to be gay?

Ry: The day I interviewed for the room to rent, everything changed. I knew I had met the girl, except there was one small problem: She'd been burned badly and didn't want to deal with a heterosexual guy as a roommate. I could've found another place to live, but I wanted to live there - with her. So I had to go undercover.

Fact: I'm in love with my roommate.

Fact: She's going to hate me if I come clean now.

Fact: I'm not giving up. Which means I'll just have to continue to run defense until I figure out a way to get Maggie to see the real me.

Contains mature themes.

no other name would do

This book...shaking my head...was absolutely ridiculous and over the tip filled with awesomeness. At first, I wanted it because of the obscene and absurdly fitting title. Once I started it, I couldn't stop. It's like a trainwreck of epic wtf were you thinking moments.

You can't help but to fall for these characters. You know the whole time how off the wall and wrong the situation is but you can't help but to invest in it.

I would be a horrible person/friend/reviewer If I didn't tell you to buy it. Buy it now!!!!!

A little drawn out

Great storyline and premise but it's drawn out a few hours too long.

Entering and endearing.

Loved the story, characters and all clam jamming!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! It was a good story with great narrators!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how much Ry loved Maggie and all he was willing to do for her.

What does Elizabeth Hart and Jeremy York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They brought this story to life for me. They made me connect with Ry and Maggie.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the napkin writting between Ry and Maggie. It was so sweet. But there is a moment at the end, in the rain, that brought tears to my eye!

Any additional comments?

Could have been better

The story had so much potential to be better. I feel like whenever it could have went in a fun direction, they characters just kind of droned on. Then there were a few really funny parts. I usually never say this, but it could be have been shorter, because some dialogue got repetitive.

I found myself laughing and smiling throughout!

You know how you listen to a book and you're loving every minute of it yet dreading it at the same time? I felt that way throughout this entire audiobook. I smiled at so many parts. Maggie and Ry's friendship was so lovely and I enjoyed every moment of them learning to love one another. yet at the same time, I was dreading the moment Maggie would find out the truth about him. I found myself considering turning off the audiobook several times because I could not handle the tension. I'm not entirely certain that there was enough of a resolution at the end, but the narrators of this book brought it to life in such a way that I was almost okay with that. I'm really glad that I gave this book a shot! I think I might try Sarah and Jack's story next!

funny but needed more of...

I wanted more of the Hero's interactions with the potential competitors those scenes where hilarious.

I had over looked this book because like most the cover didn't quite call out, and please know I love couples in covers, at the end my recent love for a book by the author loured me to jump in and now without spoling i highly recommend it because I laughed and could not put it down injust wanted more of the antics this couple goes thru to finally get the HEA.

If you can get it for free, then don't buy it...

First off, it was a cute story but totally not worth paying for it. So, if you can get it for free, definitely go that route. The book did NOT need to be 50+ chapters, and I found the FMC immature & dense. I could totally get her believing Ry was gay, if that portion of the story didn't last 35+ chapters. Hence why I said she was dense. He wasn't *that* believable in his fake "gay-ship". The spicy scenes were dull & couldn't even paint an imagination disappearing ink. The narrators were "meh". I liked the FN better than the MN. Jeremy York is faaaaar from being Joe Arden (swoon) but maybe this just wasn't the story for Jeremy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, long story short...you'd be just as dense as the FMC if you pay for this book. ✌🏼
