I was surprised

I had low expectations for this book, but it was part of a 2 for 1 sale and I had the credits. By the end I was looking for sequels and other materials in this universe. Great story of a coming of age young man who overcame a lot of obstacles to become a leader. The story was great, the voice acting was great, and I wish there was a series, movie, or book sequel to continue this universe.

Fast moving development of unique worlds

Wonderful development of an interesting chat who takes us across a cultural landscape and explores the evils of slavery and attempts to end it and a distant galaxy

An enjoyable tale, but…

A good story, but it suddenly ended. It should have been continued to a more fulfilling conclusion.

Ender, in another life, in another time.

Yet another example of good work from a master of the art. Experiencing these short classics from time to time is compulsory for anyone that really loves the craft of ScFi.

Fascinating look at a potential future.

I was sorry that the book had to end. Now days there would have been 6 or 8 follow on books. RAH genius of story and realistic characters never ceases to amaze me. I have read most of his works now, and this is probably in the top 5.

Love his writing.

Too bad he is gone. I have always loved his writing, from something as easy to read as this one to the more complicated Stranger in a Strange Land or Time Enough for Love.. He just knew how to write. Of course, it was somewhat easier for him and other founding fathers of Science Fiction, they were writing of subjects never before written, so the ideas were many and manifold. Everything from habitable Mars or Venus to Interplanetary travel was fodder for them to write about.
I just wish he had written more of Lazarus Long. It would have been cool to have another book after he was Picked up by his "Sisters", at the end of the biggest book he is in.
I have always hated hanging endings where you have to imagine the endings actuality... I prefer things spelled out.

a great story going from slavery to riches. Heinlein the master storyteller does it again!
