Publisher's summary

Being dead definitely has its disadvantages.

Number one being that I have to wait until the full moon to kick Benny’s ass. What right did he have to kill me?

None.

Not only that, I was his thirteenth kill, so he’s alive instead. Not for long, if I have my way.

With Lorena gone, the island has taken on a life of its own and it’s up to me to destroy it. But doing so will require massive sacrifices.

Sacrifices I’m not sure I’m willing to give.

But the fate of everyone on the island rests in my hands.

Who will live and who will be gone forever?

The choice is mine.

Excellent end to the series

This is a fantastic ending to a unique YA series. Callie managed to rid the island of Lorena, but the cost was high. Now Callie has to figure out how to destroy the island while at the same time saving both the ghosts and the rest of the islanders. That’s pretty hard to do when you happen to be a ghost yourself. Callie is a great character, things did not come easy for her, but she remained determined, strong and protective of her friends throughout everything. I loved seeing how she grew into her powers and how her relationship with Benny developed. You can’t help but love Benny, he is loyal, sweet and full of surprises. This story had lots of suspense, angst, excitement, a glowing skull, zombies, ghosts and even a nasty witch/werewolf. The narrator, Sarah Puckett, does a great job of bring the story to life and giving individual voices and accents to the characters. She was a pleasure to listen to. The story flows well, has a good pace, keeps you captivated and has a surprising twist right at the end, both adults and teenagers will enjoy this whole series.

Wowza!!

This series is such a whirlwind of emotions. Callie is a strong heroine, but she also chooses to lead by her emotions and often times finds herself in a pickle. Thus, creating a whirlwind of emotions from other people when they find out what she did and it created a worse situation for them. But Callie seems to understand this in this book and seems to try to rectify it and work towards freeing everyone...sacrifices must be made and death is the only way out. If you enjoy reading dark paranormal books then consider this book. There’s just a lot of death and to me that’s why some consider it as “dark” but it wasn’t scary and it was full of voodoo, magical spells, zombies, ghosts, and witches. It was a fun series to read or listen. The audiobook is narrated by Sarah Puckett and she did a good job portraying Callie as well as some of the other characters.

Circus of the Dead

Circus Of The Dead: Book 4 is the final book in this young adult paranormal & urban fantasy romance. A mythology, a powerful ancestral witch and obeah, ghosts, and zombies plus a wicked twist ending. A mystifying marvel artistry suspense that is a page turner. Magical and pandemonium ending to this series.

Narrator Sarah Puckett performance was impeccable. Her ability to create multiple voices and signify all the right emotions. Her inflection is smooth and intoxicating.

Highly magnificent ya paranormal/ urban fantasy audio I recommend listening to the whole series.

Is this the end?

Sometimes it's hard to review a book without giving away spoilers, so I'll give it my best shot.

This is an absolutely amazing finale to a wonderful series. Callie has come so far in her abilities to deal with whatever the Circus of the Dead and the mysterious island throws at her, but she is still learning what she must in order to free herself and her friends from this horrid place.

Kimberly Loth has created a unique world and cast of characters and when some of these characters die (or do they?), the reader feels like they have lost a friend. The worst part about reading the last in a series is not being able to interact with the characters anymore.

This book is geared at the YA crowd, but don't let that fool you. There is plenty of magic, voodoo, zombies, witches, villains, romance and tension in this book and series. The ending was perfect and I loved the twist at the end that opens up the possibilities of more books set in this world.

The narrator, Sarah Puckett, does a great job and adds a lot to an already wonderful book. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author and chose to review it.

As Callie is now in charge she is trying to help everyone on the island humans under contract and ghost alike. This series just got better with each book.

Excellent story

I loved the story but was not a huge fan of the narrator. She did a good enough job to convey the story but I found her vioce to be somewhat lackluster, not conveying the tension in the book as well as it could have been. It was almost too smooth for the energy of the book. She did a decent job with characterization though.

Loth's storytelling is brilliant and I want another book in this serie!!

Sad To See It End

I'm sad for the ending of this series, I really liked the world the author created. The author did a great job with the ending wrapping everything up & leaving room for possible spin offs or more. The narrator is wonderful bringing the story to life & has become one if my fave.

Absolutely breathtaking

The ending to this series still made my heart stop, melt, do flip-flops, and all sorts of stuff, even though I had read this book prior to listening to it. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing this amazing series to life! I can't wait to read the spinoffs that are coming out next year!!
