I Love this Series!!

This Series is about six vampires who lost their mates - and their mortality - and they have to reunite with their reincarnated mates to prevent the destruction of the world. This is one of my favorites Series. This is the fifth book in the Series, and you must listen to the first books before. I loved the story of the Duchess and Chan, despite the fact that their story were different than the others. This story has it all: entertaining, intriguing, and suspenseful. Now, I can't wait for the last book in the Series, Lovers' Victory, Snag's story! The narration was well done, as always with Gwendolyn Druyor! She has the perfect voice for this paranormal Series. I really enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Another great installment in the series

I liked this book just like I have all of the previous books in this series! Full and action and romance. The book is well written and the characters are great. Another beautiful story of good vs evil. I loved it! I would recommend this book and all the other books in the series.

So now.....I really hope the next book is about Snag! bwhahahah I'm so curious!!

What an amazing addition to this lovely series!

It explores the power of love in a world gone mad with hate. And these authors nailed it so brilliantly! Such a remarkable read. Loved every second and every word of it. A fantastic book!

The narrator did a wonderful job! Loved listening to the narrator.

MEMORABLE SERIES CONTINUES TO STAY TIGHT!

I really have NOT liked Duchess in the previous books so I was pleased with her story. She harbored the most guilt about her past relationship with her soul-mate and it almost ruined the entire solidarity of the group and their mission. When she met Chan she was impressed with him as a human but finding out he was her soul-mate changed everything. He was the last person she wanted to encounter and did all she could to deny opening up to him. But as soul-mates, they were fated to unite.
There is a lot of focus on the group and members so I advise reading the books from the beginning. The battle they wage has developed a lot of depth, and vague predictions are steadily becoming clearer as the six Vampires reunite with their destined partners. It is a well thought out story and worth the journey. I cannot wait for book 6.

Gwendolyn Druyor is an excellent voice artist and has carried characters through this series very well.

This author writes a decent vampire series

I actually picked up this series along time ago and really enjoyed it. The only thing I have to say I dont like is that every single series book changes up the previous 2 characters in a romance base storyline instead of intertwining the past characters in the future titles . I prefer it to be a constant continuation of a story that has romantic aspects within some titles but be primarily an adventurous, nonstop thrilling story. This is a good vampire series and the narrator does a great job.

Fantastic book.

I love this series and this book did not disappoint. The author has created a fantastic world with a fight for the balance of good and evil. Each book is about the reunion of one of the six vampires that reunite with the one person who sacrifices themselves to save their love one. This is just a step to create the 13 that will bring down the evil. This was Duchess's story. Even though she tried not to be with her soulmate because she felt she had betrayed him, they eventually realize they both had issues and finally unite. I can't wait till next book. If you have not read these, you are missing a wonderful series. The narrator does a fantastic job. She brings the characters to life. I was gifted this book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Another Excellent Installment!!

This is another excellent installment to a wonderful series! I have loved this series from book one and it hasn't changed a bit since! This series has plenty of action and adventure mixed with a bit of romance. If you enjoy vampire stories then you absolutely have to check out this series! The narration is very well done and I love that Gwendolyn Druyor has been the narrator for all five books! After hearing the first book you cannot imagine another narrator for this series. Overall, a very well written and quite enjoyable collection that sucks you in and doesn't let go!!

Meet the Duchess!

In this fifth installment of the Circle of Blood series, we get the story of Duchess, aka Marie. She is a woman full of secrets, and she doesn’t think she’s a good person, not at all. We also meet her reincarnated love in CIA operative Chan Wei Yong. He’s in Malaysia working behind the scenes with a religious zealot. Duchess, Oksana and Mason come to investigate the disappearance of a doctor, the son of Mason’s former colleague. Naturally, their paths cross.

If you’re a fan, reading this book should be a no-brainer. You get to know about Duchess. She’s a special character, too. While listening, it finally hit me that she’s an homage to Milady de Winter from the d’Artagnan Romances. That gives it an extra layer of fun for a Steffan fan. The thing that makes this part of the story a little different than others is that both Duchess and Chan have been bad people. It’s not the pure and good love the others might have had for each other, but it was a strong enough love to be useful in the over-arching conflict.

There is damage between them, and because this love isn’t sweet, that might disappoint some readers. No matter what, though, they decide to go for a clean start in the end, and they find comfort in each other. The story is now set up for book six, which features Snag as the sets of lovers and their allies gather together to defeat Bael. The end promises to be a wild ride.

One of the best parts of this story for me was Mason. He’s growing as a character, and he got some good scenes separately with Duchess and with Chan. He gets to shine teaching Chan being a new vamp.

As for the narration, this is Gwendolyn Druyor. She always delivers, and she deftly shifts between the many different accents her authors try her with. I’ve listened to so many performances of hers by now, I can just trust that I’ll enjoy it.

Recommended for vampire fans, paranormal fans, and series romance fans who like large casts.
