Together at last, your favorites like Cinderella, P. I. and Cinderella, Undercover along with six new stories. Join our clever detective as she tracks a missing child into the deep, dark woods in Cinderella, Sleuth. Take a wild ride or two with Cinderella and Prince Charming in The Prince C Letters. Travel far and wide with Cinderella and her fairy godmother on the trail of the magic wand (missing again!) in Cinderella and the Usual Suspects. All 12 stories, new and old, give peeks into the life, times, friends and enemies of Cinderella, P. I., 20 years, three kids and a few extra pounds after the ball.

The ongoing characters in her life deepened from chapter to chapter. I thought it struck a nice balance between whimsy and reality. For example, to see Cinderella make a mistake in her relationship at one point, own up to it, and then be easily forgiven, as might happen from time to time in a healthy non-sitcom marriage, felt much more romantically enjoyable than any 50 shades of nonsense. One-shot characters were sometimes a bit thin like the goth girl (IMO) and other times a revelation like the Gingerbread Man.
The reader's delivery was so on-point I hardly noticed it, which is the best thing that can be said of any reading, I think.
Life is rather busy for us all, and to listen to a quick, fun story for 15 minutes is like a snack of good fiction. Recommended to liven up short drives or weeknight dinner preps!
