Sixteen-year-old Kilix is starting his freshman year in a new town. That means new friends, new teachers and a new whole life. The often reclusive Kilix struggles to make friends at his new school and instead makes enemies with the wrong group of kids. Struggling to cope with his mother's illness and keep his enemies at bay, Kilix is met with a conundrum.

The struggle between AI and man set in the future

What did you love best about Chronicles of Kilix?

I liked the interactions of the teenagers in their fight with computers. It was a fast moving adventure story about coming of age.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Loren, she reminded me of me. I can remember thinking the same things she thought about her mother and the boys she hung out with.

Which character – as performed by Joshua Bennington – was your favorite?

One again, I would have to say Loren. Joshua bennington was able to give Loren a good voice for a man doing a female part. I would have to give him a thumbs up for that voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This was a book that I could easily listen to in one setting. It kept my attention and held me there.

Any additional comments?

This was a very entertaining audio book that you will not let down. I gave it a five star rating, because I loved it. I am now looking forward to reading the rest of the authors books.

Romance or a Si-Fi novel?

Would you consider the audio edition of Chronicles of Kilix to be better than the print version?

The audio version brought the characters to life. It just gives the story a little more depth.

What did you like best about this story?

The budding romance between Loren and Kilix and their struggle to get alone.

Have you listened to any of Joshua Bennington’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

We have heard a few other audio books that he has narrated and I must say they have all been excellent. I expect we will hear more from him..

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book was hard to turn off and I would have liked to have finished it in one setting but had to stop. I could not wait to get back to the book.

It was a good book with a good narrator. I will be listening to the next one in the series shortly. You need to buy this audiobook, you will not be sorry.

Young boy fights to grow up

What made the experience of listening to Chronicles of Kilix the most enjoyable?

I liked hearing the story. The narrator and author keep you entertained and make the audio book hard to turn off. Kilix's adventures were nothings like mine but still they were in some ways. I think everyone gets the same feeling in High School.

What did you like best about this story?

The story left a lot of questions unanswered. Perhaps for another book?

What does Joshua Bennington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Joshua Bennington gave the story life and energy. Something I just do not get from a printed version. Each character was given his or her own voice that I could understand and identify as that character.

I gave the book a five start rating because it has an entertaining story and was performed by a talented narrator

TWO POV'S POINTS OF VIEW OF THE FUTURE

Where does Chronicles of Kilix rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Chronicals of Kilix is like most coming of age stories but in this story the two main characters are a 15 year old boy and a 16 year old girl dealing with the future over through of man kind by artificial intelligence computers.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chronicles of Kilix?

What I thought was most amusing was when Kilix took the "glider" out for a glide and destroyed it. It kinda reminded me of the first time I borrowed the family's car, only to bring it back with a little damage.

What does Joshua Bennington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Joshua Bennington did a fabulous job with the voices of Kilix and Loren. He gave them a personality that went beyond the printed word. I enjoyed the book more because the voices and narration were so excellent.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The competition between the boys. The author wants us to believe that that drive will never stop, even in the future.

A really first rate book for both kids and adults.

A boy is a link between comuters and mankind

What did you love best about Chronicles of Kilix?

What I liked most about Kilix was that high school boy moved into a new school and had to find his way. It brought back memoirs of my days in school. And I also liked the coming of age for both Loren and Kilix.. Another great ingredient in the plot was the relationship they have with commuters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chronicles of Kilix?

What I thought was very moving was when Kilix spook into Loren ear in their classroom and she got a "strange feelings" . She discovered boys that day, and not as a buddy,(cute)

Which character – as performed by Joshua Bennington – was your favorite?

The most memorable character was Kilix. The narrator even gave him a boy's voice.

Any additional comments?

I liked the book a lot and would applaud it's writer and narrator. All though the characters in the book are set in high school and I as an older adult with children long gone from high school still found it very entertaining. And might even hear it again!

Where does Chronicles of Kilix rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have 700 plus books in my library so it is hard to rank. I would say you will not be sorry with your choice of selecting this one.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chronicles of Kilix?

When I was a kid I got permission to take my dad's car for a ride and I had an accident. The glider wreck made me go back in time as I know how Kilix would have felt.We have probably all been in that situation at least once.

Which character – as performed by Joshua Bennington – was your favorite?

It has to be Kilix as he was in most all of the action but that is a good thing in this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This is an easy book to sit back and listen too. I finished it in two sessions and liked it. Joshua Bennington, through his voice changes and audio effects, like when he heard a gun shot, made the action seem real.

DUDE

Heyyy Mann, in the future pot must be legal everywhere, cause in this book they all sound stoned. Well, the dad, he sounds Drunk. Listen to the sample, Dude. This story is very YA and I think junior high kids will like it the most. I gave it four stars and thought it was Okay, but I won't continue the series, too many really good books out there.

Where does Chronicles of Kilix rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is close to the top. The story line was interesting even for older people than the characters in the book and the narration was very good. I gave it a five star rating.

Which character – as performed by Joshua Bennington – was your favorite?

The character of Kilix as performed by Joshua Bennington seemed to be the most real, but he did a great job with all the characters. Each had his or her own voice. The voices were so real I felt that I could almost see them as people I know.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I thought that the chapter where Kilix talked the group into helping him hack into the bank to save his mother was rather moving.

Any additional comments?

I have given this audio book 5 stars because it was engaging, charming and delightful. There were two POV's one a male freshman in high school copping with being new and the second was a young lady trying to understand her new feeling for this boy. And to just make the story interesting it all happens a few years into the future. And just to complicate the plot there is artificial intelligence trying to take over the world..You will enjoy it no matter what your age!

Where does Chronicles of Kilix rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

"Chronicles of Kilix" rates among the top audio books I have heard. The story is entertaining and the narrator brings the characters to life. Hard to turn off!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kilix was the main character and the story line follows him more than Loren. But both characters were my favorites. The story is about a young man moving into a new school and making new friends. Loren takes a liking to him right away but she is not sure about her feelings or even why she has them for Kilix.. And the whole thing takes place in the future where the computers are the dominate activity..

What about Joshua Bennington’s performance did you like?

Joshua' Bennington's performance was out standing. I enjoyed hearing his narration because it gave the characters life and I was able to almost picture them in my minds eye, every time they spoke. Good job!

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this audio book. It was well written and performed by the narrator. It is going to be a winner!!

MANKIND AGAINST THE MACHINES

What made the experience of listening to Chronicles of Kilix the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed listening to Kilix because it brought back thoughts of when I was in High School. And I found the use of computers in the future to be interesting. Particularly the twist when we find out that the word was taken over by them.

What about Joshua Bennington’s performance did you like?

Joshua Bennington did an excellent job of doing the different voices. I liked the voice of Loren. Half the book is in her voice and half is in Kilix's voice but there are many other characters in the book and they all have different voices. Big job!! Talented reader!

I gave this book a 5 star rating because one I loved it and two the author and narrator kept the action moving.it was nice to listen to.
