Publisher's Summary

Kate Taylor knows what she wants in life: to one day run her family’s candle business, which is at the heart of the close-knit community of Bayberry, Vermont. But the company isn’t doing well.

Wesley Adams is on the fast track to being an assistant vice president at his financial firm in Manhattan. Before the promotion is announced, he’s sent to this small town from his past to do an analysis of the candle company.

He doesn’t expect to bump into his childhood crush, Kate, and when he does, sparks fly. As he spends time in Bayberry, he falls for the town’s Christmas traditions - and for her. But he has a responsibility to submit an honest report. Will it extinguish Kate’s dreams...along with any chance they have for a future together?

This heart-warming romance contains a free Hallmark original recipe for Cast Iron Beef Stew.

Easy and sweet

This is an easy listen and sweet. It’s one of the longer Christmas audible listens I could find, which is the main reason I gave it a try. Most seem like 3-4 hours which is a waste of a credit in my eyes. This story was clean and had some great twists and turns and a lot of Christmas cheer.

Except for Kate

I would have given a 5 because the story was good but Kate was so annoying, pessimistic and bossy I had to stop the audio for breaks from her. She was so
Pushy with Wesley who was super sweet by saying, “We’re gonna,” “you have to” and You’re going!” Ewww I can’t believe how much he liked her.

Rich in Christmas Spirit

I love Christmas stories, but this one was a little lacking for me. Perhaps it was because it was an audiobook and the narrator's male voices were a little cartoonish, but I didn't quite get into this one the way that I usually do. The story was interesting but seemed like it went on and on in places for no particular reason. The middle section of the book was drawn out, in my opinion. I did love the surprise at the end, even though anyone would see it coming. It was a sweet story and I think it might make a good Hallmark Christmas movie. I think it might be more enjoyable to read than to listen to, though.
