Publisher's summary

Dr. Brady Thomasson has his hands full. Christmas is two days away, and he’s the physician in charge at Lilac’s senior living community. A mysterious illness, blizzard conditions, and a skeleton staff would be enough to keep even the most seasoned medical professional on his toes. Will the unexpected arrival of his former girlfriend distract him from his duties?

With a brewing scandal about to crash down on her head, environmental lawyer Camille Zignetti drives through a snowstorm to spend Christmas with her ailing grandfather. Certain she will pay a price for her employer’s bad behavior, could Brady blame her for wanting to hide from a situation she’d helped to create?

I really enjoyed the story, and honestly wish it were longer. It was just a good, clean love story that makes you feel good at the end..

To Thine Own Self

Two young people, who succeeded brilliantly in school together, diverged dramatically in career paths, each reaching for a dream. And both continued to succeed, but apart. Now each has come to a career crossroad. When they re-encounter for the first time since school they discover the chemistry is still there. Author Pamela Ferguson deals well with the expectations put upon us by others, especially parents, and the need to remain true and faithful to oneself in order to have something to offer another. Narration and voicing by Stephanie Dillard certainly enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

Sweet and clean second chance at love!

This is my fist Pamela Ferguson's book. This is a sweet and clean Second Chance at Love, and Christmas story novella. Brady, is a physician, and Camille, is an environmental lawyer. They used to date before, and they meet again when Camille visits her grandfather at the Mountain Mist, a senior center, where Brady works. The other characters were also interesting. The story has a happy ending. The narration was easy to listen to. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Short listen but a good one

Christmas listens resonate best during the season. With Christmas less than two weeks away, this listen filled the room while I wrapped presents.

It was a very pleasant and quick listen of the boy meets girl, boy loses girl variety. Although we are never really told what happened to make boy lose girl, their reunion created the inevitable sparks.

The narration was really well-done and kept the story flowing.

Christmas at Mountain Mist

Christmas at Mountain Mist is a sweet second chance romance.

Brady and Camille went their separate ways as they pursued their careers. During their time apart, they both changed... now circumstances have brought them to the same location. Will their past be to much to overcome?

An enjoyable story with great narration.

Lighthearted and entertaining

I got this book via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. When it first started I said, "Oh no, not another one." But as I listened I enjoyed the way the story twisted around the various characters. The grandfather was a hoot and so were many of the other patients. The HEA, although expected happened in a good way. The narrator added to the story and made it come alive.

Lovely Christmas Short Story!

Brady is a doctor at Mountain Mist retirement home. The strange illness of one of his patients brings his ex girlfriend, Camille, to the home. Camille is in the midst of a high profile media scandal. Can the two of them find solace in each other? Lovely short story that takes place at Christmas. Nicely read by the narrator. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Recommended

This short novella is a entertaining if not reflective story about family and expectations. With a cast of rather quirky characters, a blizzard and Christmas around the corner, this senior living community has lots of excitement going on.

Dr. Brady and Camille were in a relationship in college. After graduation they went their separate ways. This surprise meeting brings forth questions all around.

I liked how Camille's grandfather, through subterfuge got the attention he needed to draw attention to problems in the family. I appreciated how individually several people brought out and dealt head on with their issues even when it was difficult. Family is complicated always but this example is also entertaining.

Stephanie Dillard did a terrific job narrating this story. She definitely added to the overall telling.

I recieved a Audible copy of this story, by my request, in exchange for a honest review.

Second chance love at Christmas!

It's time to get in the holiday spirit and what better way than with a Christmas romance. Pamela Ferguson gives us a second chance at love with Camille and Brady. These two had dated and were serious, but when career choices got in their way, the two went their separate ways. Now that time has passed and paths change, these two see each other again at Mountain Mist where Camille's grandfather is. Will there be a second chance for these two? I loved this short story. It's full of family angst that we all encounter, love and hope. Narrated by Stephanie Dillard, it's the perfect start to holiday preparations!
