This is an excellent example of how and why radio was such a potent force in the early days.

    What fun!

This is an excellent blend of ingredients: classic radio mystery serials with extra Christmas glitter. Obviously originally broadcast as seasonal specials, they range from the unabashedly heartstring-tugging to the somewhat more gritty and realistic, but all with obligatory happy holiday endings.

The sound quality is less than pin-sharp, which classic-radio fans will expect and forgive; but it's all quite clear and easy to listen to. The original commercial breaks are included, adding to the authentic back-in-time feel.

A great little selection to listen to any time of the year!
