What's not to love? It's the most magical time of the year and also happens to be my most favourite holiday. This is not a particularly long story, but what an interesting premise.
Have you ever had regrets? Wondered about the one who got away and wondered what would have happened if you had only chosen the other path?
That is what faces Eve Langdon when she is tasked with doing a presentation to Jake Mitchell. You see Jake is the one who got away and Eve has always wondered what her life would have been like if only she had the courage to say yes to Jake, 8 years ago.
I think we all at one time or another have asked ourselves “What if?” I know I certainly have.
When fate, in the guise of a magical candy bar from Santa, enables Eve to see what her life could have been like she finds the answers to the questions she has often asked herself,
I knew going in that it was a really short story but I think it was just a little too short as I was just getting really into the story when it ended. Perhaps if the conclusion had been expanded a little further I would have felt the story more complete; although having said that I certainly enjoyed this book..
