Christianity, Evolution, and the Breath of Life is a 21st Century view that examines the evidence that life is not merely material, but is suffused with the Breath of God. The author examines the nature of Life from its molecular roots, considers evidence that organisms modify themselves, proposes the concept of the explanatory gap between the living and the lifeless, and then discusses various ideas that historically have attempted to fill the gap. He then plumbs the Judeo-Christian concept of the Breath of Life, followed by a consideration of origin of Life experimental science. He contrasts the idea of the Breath with Intelligent Design. His reasoning leads to a unique and novel rendition of the miracles of Jesus, which in turn opens a fresh discussion of the resurrection of Jesus. He closes with a consideration of the model's implications for our everyday prayer lives.
