Publisher's Summary

The villagers of Stoney Cross are busily preparing for their first Arts Festival and enlist the help of a local radio presenter. But the delight soon turns to dismay when the broadcaster, Marcus Willoughby, moves into a house in Stoney Cross the day before the festival. He turns out to be someone from various people’s pasts and greets them with recognition - and malice - in his eyes.

When he is found dead, no crocodile tears are shed. He was 'choked off' for good while in full flow. DI Harry Falconer and Acting Detective Sergeant 'Davey' Carmichael are dispatched to investigate....

Nothing happens in 2 hours of listening

I have listen to over 2 hours. No murder. A village art show has taken place and the guest art critic is evil. I couldn’t have done 2 hours if not for the wonderful narration.

Most enjoyable.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book with it's delightfully drawn characters so vividly depicted and portrayed.

Shockingly bad

As a lover of Agatha Raisin books I was looking for something similar but this is probably the worse book I have ever read/listened to.
It could have been written by a child who was good at creative writing so was trying to copy Agatha Christie.
I guessed what was going to happen, by who and why before anyone was killed
The plot was non existent.
The only good thing about it was that it wasn't too long.
