the story seems good

the story seems good and i might pick it Up as a text version. but the narration is horrible, who decided that "the system'' should be introduced and outroed by an ear piercing DING! every single time! its unbearable. besides that the narrator does an ok job.

Horrible follow up

The additional POVs are annoying. A 10 hour book shouldn’t have four POVs.. The overall books structure is awful bouncing frequently. Additionally the first hour of the books isn’t even about our main character. The author almost always says “only 18” looks “only 26 years old”. Some of my favorite descriptions “the 10 identical women could be identical twins”. This book was crap compared to the first one.

Framing love it

This book started off great not even a slow start. The only thing I hated about the book was the ding sound, and the long explanation that followed It every time. I love cheering for the bad guy and seeing the raise of true evil. You don’t get a lot of books that are like this, wish they’re more.

nice installment

Great job DJ. It seems the formula u have is working. To be thrown into something this bad and survive, can only be done by james' type of mentality. your main guy is definitely on to something.

Stop the bell

The bell almost made me stop listening, it is super loud in comparison to the spoken word. Please, have an ability to turn it down or reduce the noise of the DING.

Sound effects obnoxious and WAY. TOO. LOUD.

The dings. The incessant dings! If you're on book 2, then there's no need to explain what kind of MC we have here. He's evil. Nuff said. However, I would recommend reading instead of listening. The narrator makes some interesting style choices when it comes to character voices and I don't begrudge him that. They're not what I would have chosen but I'm not a voice actor. The sound effects on the other hand were absolutely atrocious. Every time the system talks to the MC, the narrator plays a sound clip of one of those desk bells you used to see in hotels back in the day. With no sound modulation. It's louder than the outfits at the MET Gala. ding Ding DING DIIIING. I blame this narrator for any future hearing loss. Decent book though.

More!

5 stars. No complaints here other than not having enough of this series. Stay true to the tone this series started out with and my money is yours. Can't wait for more.

The entire experience is bad

This is the first book ever where I can say that every part of the experience is bad. The plot is nonexistent. The mc is weak and whines. The diffrent POV are irrelevant and pointless designed to waste time and filler as the author is clearly determined to make this as unenjoyable as possible.

The narration is terrible childish voices and don't even get me started on the ear splitting and head ache inducing PING noise that happens before and after the system says something. Except the one time that DING is shouted in your ear by the narrator instead.

The litrpg talk is ridiculous as it is generally ignored unless the author wants to showcase how worthless and weak the main character is.

The plot. I will be talking about the main character story only as the different points of view are filler and shouldn't be included. That means that I will only be talking about 4 hours of the content. The MC is kidnapped by people much stronger than him and made to fight to survive. He takes no intuitive and survives because of the system is telling him what is dangerous and what isn't. He baths in some light his army of the dead has the occasional there being purified. This is never explained and makes no sense.

Charector development. LOL the characters don't have a personalities how can they be developed LOL. Silly review reader.

Power Progression. The life blood of litrpg. He baths in some light and eats souls which changes nothing but weakens the one thing he regularly uses his army of the fallen. "So the main character gets weaker?" why yes dear review reader he does.

I could honestly go on and on about how this book fails at literally everything. But you already have proberbly been dissuaded from trying this. The last question you may have is why did I finish it if its so bad.
Honestly I was convinced that a book this bad couldn't exist and kept waiting for it to get better. It never did.

Also the author released the first book twice which is extremely shady.

Recommendation=avoided like the plague
