Publisher's summary

On a faraway planet a war brews that threatens humanity. Can three fresh recruits make a difference?

Harrison picked the military life for one reason: he wanted to see the galaxy. The lure of the Republic Army and traveling through space to find a future for humanity seemed like the best adventure he could imagine.

Everything changes when the war begins. Is he ready?

Oliver was born into the dying high society of London—a society he desperately wanted to escape. His battle buddy Aiden was a thief looking for a second chance. Harrison, Oliver and Aiden couldn’t have been any more different…yet in the fires of bootcamp, they are forged into one cohesive force.

Now, with their feet barely on the ground of New Eden, the first patrol is going to alter their lives forever.

As the battle begins, the truth of what these three civilians-turned-soldiers signed up for comes to light. It's going to be brutal. They'll be tested: physically, emotionally, and mentally. The desperate fight for survival threatens to consume their very being.

The Galactic War just got real...and they have a major role to play.

IF YOUR 11C treat your soal and start this series !

If your a Chuck with a CIB. Giving your experience from being 11 Charlie. Serving as a Indirect fire infantrymen's and performing the 11C true mission and Tasks . Having dropped many rounds in the pits and hanging with your gun crew. Then you will get something more from this book. Being able to relate to the Mortar men karts of the book. Being expressed the way it is in a Sci-fi book. Just adds to the fun.

I went into this book knowing it was a spin off of the rise of the republic book series. Unlike that series this book takes place the young soldier level. Rather than the commanding general level that rise of the republic takes place at.

When one of the main characters is found out to be a Eleven Charlie I thought it was cool but didn't expect any level of accuracy or surprisise
to take place. After completing much more of the book and finding all the hidden Easter eggs left for combat vets, Being a infantrymen, going on deployment, living at a COP.
The author must be 11B or 11C. I loved the real life experience coming out strongly in Mil science fiction form. When at the same time the attention to detail and great talent for story telling. Allows the story to be on par with non- fiction books on the War in Afghanistan and especially RC- east .

Not bad.

The author tried to convey what it’s like in combat. Mostly he got it right. but he didn’t use all the senses that people use smell is very important. I still have flashbacks when I smell jet fuel strange as that may seem. I bet he never read any bolo series. Good job though.

Love this new novel!

I have read and listened to every book James Rosone and all co-authors he wrote. Cherubim’s Call was well written and I enjoyed the back stories of the characters. I was never into science-fiction, but I have enjoyed all of the science-fiction books. I enjoyed the backstory to the other science fiction books in the series. I hope the next book in this series comes out quickly. Great book. Must listen or read!!

Another Great Book by Rosone

I was actually a little worried about this book as I knew the story from Into The Stars. However it was really well written and made the reader feel for the characters. Kafer is my favorite narrator. He can make the phone book sound interesting.
