Recommend having the printed book with this

I’ve been curious about ChatGPT and AI apps. As a novice, I found this book fairly easy to comprehend. It gets a bit lengthy in some of the examples about stuff that I don’t understand, but the examples still demonstrate the concepts and the ChatGPT part makes sense. As an audiobook, it’s rather hard to understand and picture everything in your head though. I just happened to have the print book as well, so that made it easier to follow along. I think it would be beneficial for the author to at least include a downloadable PDF or webpage that the listener could refer to scores the examples in writing. I would NOT want to only have the audiobook format of this book.

Needed a PDF

This bundle has two books, the first about using ChatGPT prompting to help make money and the other about prompts to use both personally and professionally. I found myself thinking that both aspects of the book are too general to really help a person new to using ChatGPT and formulating good prompts. Parts of the books actually feel as though they are written strictly with ChatGPT with little input from or post-prompt massaging/editing by the author. The first book of the bundle has more useful information, even if you don't necessarily use ChatGPT to make money in the ways outlined, as this section does give you more of an idea of how you need to craft prompts than the second part does. It also touches upon the ethics of using ChatGPT, how you shouldn’t rely solely on it, and that you should still edit and improve what ChatGPT spits out. (I did appreciate how the author stated ChatGPT writes a mediocre book!)

I had access to both the audiobook and ebook formats of this book. Those without access to both will certainly suffer if they only buy the audiobook. For whatever reason, the author decided not to include everything in the ebook in the audiobook (I think), and he didn't provide a PDF along with the audiobook, as publishers can do on Audible. This book bundle is full of prompts and ChatGPT’s responses. That's harder to understand in an aural format than visual. As audiobooks do cost more than ebooks and the book is so visual, the author really should have included at least some of the eBook as a PDF downloadable at Audible. While I didn't read along in the book to notice specifically what might be different between the two, the author does state at several points in the audiobook that he's not going to provide all the prompts or all the responses. I can't say if that meant he always included them in the eBook, but my gut instinct is that the ebook has more information than the audiobook. I could be wrong, though. If he's deleted information from both formats, then the audio/book certainly has more holes than it ought to.

The bundle has two narrators. I wasn't wild about the first one—who does most of the audiobook—as I found his voice annoying to listen to for several hours. The second narrator was OK.

I found the second part mildly amusing because the author goes on and on about how you cannot use the prompts without his permission, but then the prompts are so general that they're almost useless unless you already have an idea of how to craft a good ChatGPT prompt. I've reviewed a surprising number of ChatGPT books, and this is neither the best nor the worst among the spate that’s flooded the market in the past six months. If you're specifically looking to do things like affiliate marketing or writing a book with ChatGPT, you may find this book helpful, but if you're looking for broader or different applications, you may not find it as helpful.
