One woman's struggle against the darkness of Hong Kong's drug dens.
Until it was pulled down, the Walled City was Hong Kong's most foreboding territory. It was a lawless place, dominated by the Triads, and which the police hesitated to enter. Strangers were unwelcome. Drug smuggling and heroin addiction flourished, as did prostitution and pornography, extortion and fear.
When Jackie Pullinger set sail from England in 1966 she had no idea that God was calling her to the Walled City. Yet, as she spoke of Jesus Christ, brutal Triad gangsters were converted, prostitutes quit, and Jackie discovered a new treatment for drug addiction: baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Oh to be so close to God
What an awe inspiring story and I am motivated to find the courage to have the faith to even do half of what she did in my own back yard would be amazing. Well written, easy to listen to. I found driving to work has become a great time to listen to my audible books and I arrive at work inspired and ready for the day. Thank you for sharing your story!

What an amazing book of total education to Jesus Christ and sacrifice that has made an impact in my life
Jesus is Lord over all our lives and it does take dedication totally dying to Christ every day this book has shown me how Jesus does all moreover it has impacted my life immensely which I am very grateful I have just been to visit where Jackie Pullinger did stay in Hong Kong
