Publisher's summary

Europe's smartest criminal,
versus America's best spy.
And then there's poor Emily,
stuck in between.

Imagine The Day of the Jackal meets Bridget Jones's Diary.

Rumor has it there's a Russian you can turn to if you're very rich, and need dirty deeds done without a trace. The CIA calls him Ivan the Ghost because he's operated for years without leaving a trail or revealing his face.

Until now.

For the first time in history, Ivan appears to have slipped. The CIA's new director sets Agent Kyle Achilles on an intercept course, surveilling the daughter of a British politician. Then Ivan pulls off a masterful con, and Emily vanishes.

With Emily's life, his career, and America's reputation at stake, Achilles partners with an unlikely new agent he meets in France. Together they attempt to get one step ahead of the legendary Russian, while rubbing elbows with the ultra-rich in a high-tech international chase.

Amazon named Tim Tigner an All-Star Author in December, 2017 and every month since for being one of the most popular authors in Kindle Unlimited.

A Great Beginning

Would you consider the audio edition of Chasing Ivan to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the careful, tight, story line, with a satisfying twist accomplished within the short format of the novella.

What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?

He is always great! A top performer, adding his own "brand" to the production draws plenty of listeners - including me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was hard to leave it once started. Wonderful entertainment.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to a long Achilles series - all performed by Dick Hill.

Not for me.

Immature and predictable. There is no sense of 'real' from beginning to end, which also makes it boring.

A Little Short

I really enjoyed the story but it seemed to finish after the first act. I was beginning to become interested in the main characters as people and when the story revealed the major conflict, it ended. I felt let down. In my opinion it takes more than four hours to deliver a well thought out and interesting plot. I felt that I had been set up to have to buy the next book to resolve the plot, much like a television season finale cliffhanger; not what I am looking for in a book. The book had the potential to be really great, but left me disappointed. I did not give the book less stars due to the shortness of the story, that was on me as a consumer to notice when I purchased the book. But even when I buy a short story, I do expect to get the whole story.

Too short

This the first few chapters of a good book called Pushing Brilliance. As a book of its own, it’s a rip off. I understand why the author did it, and I’ll remember that he did it. I’ll still buy his books because they’re good, but I won’t make the mistake of thinking of Tigner as a decent man of principle and character.

Good short story

Good story, I'm getting used to the narrator, he's pretty good, does Russians voices good. I am down loading the second book
