Publisher's summary

Chase Baker, Renaissance man and adventurer is back. When a flirtatious, beautiful young woman by the name of Andrea Gallo claims to be a fan of his pulp novels, Chase can't resist reciprocating in the lusty attraction. But that night, while the two enjoy a romantic evening of wine and love in his Florence apartment, he is suddenly kidnapped from his bed by two thugs who turn out not only to be working for Great Britain's infamous MI-16, but also working side-by-side with Gallo. Duped once again, Chase wants to bid his newfound romance a quick "arrivederci" and be on his way. But when they tell him they desperately need his help to uncover a legendary cave in the Northern Italian forest before a team of Russian and Iranian hardliners do, he feels compelled to help out, regardless of their rather unsound method of capturing his attention.

But what's so special about the cave?

It's said to be the very same cave that Leonardo da Vinci discovered as a young man back in the mid-15th century, and where he not only learned the secrets behind his many inventions, including the airplane, but where he was exposed to the very meaning behind God's divine plan for mankind. Why is the MI-16 so desperate to uncover the cave before the bad guys do? Whoever discovers it first will possess the knowledge and the power to take over the world.

Snarky adventure!

Short, fun, something of an urban fantasy adventure that sneaks up on the reader. It's all done very tongue in cheek with more imagination than expected. The publisher's blurb gives hints and there is no need for spoilers, but that can't begin to prepare you for all the snarks, situational and verbal humor. Just let it catch you and your imagination and enjoy the read!
Andrew B. Wehrlen narrates it well and adds to the snark factor.

An adventure story...

That takes a turn for the truly weird. And I didn’t think it was possible for it to get even more weird, then it does. If you’re a fan of Indiana Jones and wanted to see those movies merged with the X Files... this is the book for you.

Another enjoyable Chase story

Would you consider the audio edition of Chase Baker and the Da Vinci Divinity to be better than the print version?

Yes. The humor of the character comes through so well in these books. The flawed yet likeable Baker gets himself into a sticky widget and has to snark his way out using his know how and luck. This is a fun and fast listen. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Riveting!

Would you consider the audio edition of Chase Baker and the Da Vinci Divinity to be better than the print version?

It held my attention while I worked on other things. Books lock up your time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chase Baker and the Da Vinci Divinity?

When the space ship evaporated the lake. Great concept!

Have you listened to any of Andrew B. Wehrlen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I enjoyed his voice and inflections. Brought the characters alive.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When he sees his daughter older and suffering.

Any additional comments?

Really loved this one!

Chase Baker and the Da Vinci Divinity
A Chase Baker Thriller Series, Book 6
By: Vincent Zandri
Narrated by: Andrew B. Wehrlen
I like books looking for artifacts or proof that could change history, this is one of those. Do you like hints of UFOs , a secret book hidden by Leonardo Da Vinci, action, adventure, romance, and touch of the unknown? Then this is for you! I loved it! Never boring! Twists, turns, and with dialogue.
Wonderful narration!

My new favorite Zandri series. Truly enjoyable

I have listened to a number of Zandri's books now from several different series, so that should tell you that I enjoy his writing. The Chase Baker series is my favorite of the bunch. It has all the things that I like...adventure, action, danger, a solid alpha male lead, and beautiful women, but this book, at least, is set somewhere other than Albany, NY. I have nothing against Albany, but when you have three other series, all set there, is loses some of its appeal. But this one is set in Italy, so it gave me a chance to "visit" someplace exotic.

On top of all the other great parts of this book, this one is also a treasure hunt, so that just adds to the fun.

I had no problem starting with this book 6 in the series...I did not feel that I was missing out on anything.

Wehrlen did a great job voicing the many characters throughout the book.
