Publisher's Summary

The world probably doesn't need another book. And while this might seem like one, it's so much more. It's an invitation. And it's addressed to you. To inspire you to challenge everything, to remind you that you can turn ideas into reality and to give you the opportunity to be part of a bold idea that could change the course of history.

Chapter One is the story of three kids from Melbourne, Australia, with zero experience in business, who had an idea and the crazy belief that we all have the power to change stuff. It started with the world water crisis (and how to end it) but has developed into an award-winning consumer goods brand that empowers millions of people to fight poverty with every munch of muesli, sip of water or pump of hand wash.

Challenge your thinking. And that's just the beginning. This is the story of epic proportions by Thankyou co-founder Daniel Flynn about Thankyou's gut-wrenching decisions, wild mistakes and daring moves in business, marketing and social enterprise so far. You'll laugh at their boldness, cry at their failings and be inspired by their determination. But more than that, you'll understand that no matter your walk of life, you too have the power to change stuff.

Inspiring, refreshing, and unexpected.

I was generally familiar with the Thankyou story. As such I thought this would be a good read, but I didn’t expect to be challenged in my thinking quite this way. A brilliantly compiled narrative, managing to both inspire the reader (or listener) to dream big, while also being ok with starting small and being ok with imperfection. Very needed.

Do stuff that matters.

A book about making a difference by by being different. Not simply a "how to" book from someone who has made it, but a "why to" book by someone who is still making it.

defying the odds, achieving results that drop jaws

fantastic book.
well narrated and full of great odd defying encounters. achieving what previous greats have achieved in a fraction of the time because they failed to play it safe and follow the proven systems. a great example of challenging the culture of business through inventive thoughts.

Engaging, inspiring, lessons can be learnt!

Narration by Daniel was consistently engaging right from the beginning to end. As an Aussie who supports his brand that he has built, listening to how his story was created was truly inspiring.

Highly recommended for a success story to listen to.

Inspirational listen

This book is read by the author, which I love. It is a great inspirational/ motivational book, a story of set backs and success of the Australian social enterprise “thankyou”. While personally I have an issue with the sale of bottled water, for environmental reasons, I think the company’s ethos overall is admirable. This book challenges you to think how you can positively impact the world.

Slow start

The first hour is very hard to get into. Stick with it, and you’ll hear a great success story.
