Publisher's summary

"I promise, I'm not going anywhere. I found everything that I never thought I wanted right here with you."

Cecil is an unconventional omega. Owner of Second Chances, Hollydale’s thrift store and consignment shop, the closest he wants to get to an alpha is when he picks one up for a few hours of fun on a Saturday night. And even then, they’d better be polite enough to disappear before he wakes up. Yet for some reason, after picking up Hollydale’s most elusive playboy bachelor for a spot of fun after Tom’s wedding, Cecil is almost relieved to find Ian still there the following morning when he gets the call from a social worker that he’s been named the guardian of an orphaned two-day-old infant.

Ian’s entire adult life has been spent climbing the ladder to partnership at his law firm and squeezing in a little fun with omegas in his spare time. Settling down with one and starting a family is so far from his thoughts, it’s laughable. So why does he find himself sticking around to help the adorably awkward omega as he struggles to keep a tiny human alive?

Return to Hollydale for a little post-holiday fun while Ian and Cecil figure out that sometimes, sticking around is more fun than a one-night stand.

This is the fourth audiobook of the Hollydale Omegas series. This audiobook most likely contains an HEA. Eighteen-plus listeners only please! And yes, this audiobook contains Mpreg, adults adulting in sexy grown-up ways, and way more than an occasional use of potty-mouth language.

Really enjoyable

Ok, first of all, the cover matches the characters! I really liked that it really captured the essence of Cecil and Ian, in looks and mannerisms. It really comes together amazingly well.
The story was really sweetly written. Sometimes you just need a happy, feel good read without a bunch of angst, and this fit the bill. Ok, yeah, I DID cry, but it was that good! It can be read as a standalone even though it is in a series.
Drew Bacca did a terrific job on this audiobook, especially when he portrayed Cecil reading his friend’s letter. Gah, I cried buckets. It was really enjoyable and if I had any complaints it would be that I wished it was longer in length.

What a delight!

For a change, here's a holiday love story that isn't mushy and sappy, but clever, witty, amusing, and adult. Ian and Cecil are a delight together, from that first moment when they meet at the wedding reception and each is a little awkward, to the last moment when they are exchanging vows at their own wedding. Their connection is not overplayed, but it is clearly there and clearly powerful. The reason they stay together after what was meant to be a one-night-stand is well thought out, perfectly timed, and delightfully played out. Their gradual understanding of their feelings is never particularly stated, but it is clear in their thoughts and actions. They only speak the magic words to each other on two occasions, neither of which occurs until almost the end of the story, but their feelings are clear in their commitment to each other, and in their recognition, acceptance, and appreciation of who they are becoming under the influence of the other. And the writer's use of secondary characters, especially those of the paranormal kind, added an extra magical spice to this champagne-spiced tale. The narration helped to bring them to life pretty well. There was enough nuanced intonation for us to recognize particular characters with ease.

Entertaining installment in a great series

Really enjoyed this outing with the Hollydale Omegas. We follow the story of Cecil and Ian. Two men enjoying the single life whilst holding a good job and celebrating the relationships their friends are in. Yet a phone call changes it all when Cecil finds himself the guardian of a new born after a friend he'd not seen in years died, and Ian finds himself not wanting to leave.
I loved the banter and relationship that developed between the two men over the story and how they grow closer in the circumstances that Cecil finds himself in. They compliment each other very well and have a lot of fun together which makes it a laugh to read. We also have the regular pop ins from previous characters in the series. It's great how much the friends mean to each other and provide support in all forms, though especially helpful here with Cecil nothing absolutely nothing about babies.
The narration was fabulous, fully bringing the characters to life and a joy to listen to. I loved how individual Drew has made their voices. There's the perfect amount of snark for Cecil along with the longing of wanting care as an omega and then the alpha coming across as the strong, dominant type but happy to give Cecil the freedom to be himself.
I really enjoyed listening to this story and the series overall. I'd definitely recommend for anyone loving mm romance with a hint of drama.

This series keeps getting better and better!

Champagne Spiced Omega is book 4 in the Hollydale Omegas series by Susi Hawke and while it could technically be read/listened to as standalone, all the books feature the previous couples, so I suggest reading them in order. Plus, really, you'll be missing out on great books otherwise.

We met Ian in the previous book as Tom's workaholic ex and while he definitely wasn't Tom's match, he was a fairly likable guy. It was nice to see that with the right man, he was willing to go above and beyond what was expected from a hook-up when Cecil needed his help. I just loved him and Cecil together. They made a great team and were really hot together.

This book was so much fun to listen to with all the guys had to endure to learn how to take care of baby Josh and kind of reminded me of being a new mom of twin girls. Oh, the memories! LOL

And of course, it's always great catching up with the rest of the gang, which has grown exponentially with all the babies. I don't know how Susi Hawke does it, but every new book in the series is better than the previous.

Drew Bacca keeps surprising me with the wide range of voices he can provide. His narration is just about perfect, giving the book the necessary emotion in all the scenes. You can't go wrong with either the book or the audiobook, but if possible, I suggest getting the audiobook, you won't regret it.

loved Cecil and ian

These 2 made the perfect couple, even though neither wanted to be with anyone long-term. It had its sad and tense moments but everything worked out perfectly. And that fight scene at the end had me cheering Tom on,that scene was a long time coming so don't miss it.

Champagne Spiced Omega

The Cover: I don't comment too much on Book Covers cause I mean there is really no need unless the really stick out for a specific reason. Well this one really stuck out to me.. And now I can't help but laugh when I look at it. At first glance my thoughts were Harry Potter and The dude from Beverly Hills 90210, ya know... Ian Ziering.. So when I actually started listening it was hilarious, and apparent that it was totally on purpose.. The main characters name is Ian, and his counterpart MC calls him jokingly 90210. Well Played Susi, well played..

The Book: This book was the perfect amount of sweet and snark which all the books in this series seem to have a great balance of so far. The characters were super likeable for the most part, except for the horrible Alpha which you will learn all about in this book, but he totally gets what he deserves. We get to re-connect with some past characters, sadly Tom plays a very small part. But Ian and Cecil were the perfect opposites for each other. I loved that Cecil as an omega was totally adverse to kids and had zero common sense or clue what to do with them when they were thrust upon him. I think that was a great part of his character traits to shine through and see. Not every Omega should initially like or want kids. Not everyone has that nurturing side naturally come to them and I appreciated seeing that it did not come naturally to Cecil. Ian seriously stepped up in this book. From seeing him previously when we met Tom, to this book he really did a 180 turn in his actions and way of thinking and I loved seeing him settle down and he picked the perfect omega to settle down with.

The Audio: Drew Bacca is a pretty great storyteller when it comes to narrating. He is for sure a voice actor and he does such a good job at delivering a story to us with the right amount of enthusiasm and emotion in his voice in exactly the spots that are needed and called upon for emotions at the forefront.. Its always fun listening to Drews audiobooks, I haven't heard one I didn't like yet.
