Publisher's summary

This Audible Exclusive Edition includes new content straight from Celeste! She joined Audible in the recording studio and delivered raw, hilarious, and utterly classic-Celeste moments on everything from the favorite parts of her book to the differences between Australians and Americans, and, most important, why Tim Tams are everything.

“Prepare to laugh.” (Reese Witherspoon)

From funny woman, Instagram star, and international comedy sensation Celeste Barber, Challenge Accepted! is a raucous, hilarious, and outspoken guide to life, unwanted gas, and how to rock a sexy scar.

Part memoir, part comedy routine, part advice manual, Challenge Accepted! is Celeste at her best, revealing her secrets to love, friendship, family, and marriage (oh hai, #hothusband), and how to deal with life’s many challenges - why she checks the bath for sharks, how Nutella quite literally shaped who she is as a woman, and why being famous on Instagram is like being rich in Monopoly. It’s real, like totally, really real.

Editorial Review

I love this memoir so much. Yes, it’s hilarious, because Celeste is hilarious, but oh man, she also digs pretty deep. Tears were shed, gasps were gasped. I recently got all fancied up and talked to her on camera about open heart surgery, mean girls, ADHD, and more. (Check out the video on this page!) —Rachel S., Audible Editor

Prepare to crack up in the grocery store

Listened while folding laundry, running errands, grocery shopping and working in my yard. Frequently found myself unable to suppress my laughter in public. More than ounce loudly cackled and received an odd look from a neighbor or fellow shopper. Will re-read and have already recommended to friends. Moms, wives, sisters, daughters, drama students, folks who like food and/or people w a sense of humor will enjoy.

Hysterical

Absolutely adored the book. I’ve been following Celeste on Instagram for a while & she is always a bright spot in what can be a cesspool of awfulness.

Love!!!

This book is the funniest most real thing I’ve read/heard in a long time. Celeste Barber is hilarious and I’m so glad she reads the book herself. I don’t think you really get the full affect unless you hear her! I’m usually not into listening to bios or memoirs..I like fiction, but I’m so glad I gave this a shot!

This did not need to be a book

She is funny on Instagram, I can imagine she would be great to watch in a live show as she has awesome energy. Her confidence is great and I love that Celeste is very real and does not make insecure teenagers feel even more insecure. But this did not need to come in the form of a book.

Great story and very real stuff.... I like it

There are so many parts of this book that I really liked. I really love that the author is narrating , it is engaging and her voice gives a better representation of what is being read.

We are constantly bombarded with all kinds of ideas that should make complete sense but doesn’t always work, she gives an example of that which I identify with, the breast feeding situation. I too wanted to breastfeed my kids but it didn’t work out, the sad part was that the professionals around me couldn’t recognize or tell me that sometimes it doesn’t work, so I was just pushing to make it work while my baby was basically starving. It is sad that the “natural and best” for baby idea doesn’t leave room for errors and we ( mom who can’t breastfeed) are left felling guilty.

Back with the book, it was also very nice to learn about Celeste’s life , she has a special and funny way of telling things , even the more dramatic stuff. I enjoyed and laughed listening to her point of views.
Celeste if you ever read this, I love your contents, specially the Instagram pictures, I show them ( the not explicit ones) to my daughters ( 6yo and 8yo) when one of them was miserably sick waiting to see the doctor and you made their day a much brighter one. They have been imitating you and the songs and dances ever since. It is very refreshing how you show the other side of life compared to the perfect sexy looking stuff we are visually feed everyday , my kids like it real. The Instagram video on airplane with your kids, my daughters loved it, they were like : yep, that’s how it goes, the video of you modeling with a nice dress at home passing by your boys and they are playing and a ball hits your head, my daughters loved it.... it is so real and so hilarious. God Bless you and your family with much health and great life, thanks for sharing your gifts to the world ( gifts, I mean, your talent). Xoxo

It wasn’t what I thought

It’s a very good book. Perfect for those with a short attention span as chapters are short and can be read out of order. The book is full of Celeste’s humor but it’s not a comedy. Interesting woman.

Not funny, not clever

Totally don't get this. She is neither creative nor funny nor original. Really a waste of time. Don't get the hype at all.

unbelievable joy and happiness

I can't even begin to express how much I loved this book. I almost bought the ebook to read but I am so glad I decided to go with the audible version instead. Listening to Celeste read her book with all the inflection only she can do made it worth it. Then if course there's the accent - FABULOUS! I went through all the emotions you hope to go through, happy, joyful, sad, angry, and of course I laughed my a** off. I mean out loud so people around me look at me strange, out loud. You will not regret a single second of listening.

An absolutely gorgeous story teller!

Celeste Barber is at all once funny, witty, smart, and touching. I related to so much of what she said - and laughed so hard - I’m having a second listen. It was a real treat to enjoy Celeste narrating the book herself. (PS - I may never again say Tom Ford without adding his “middle name”)

Just... not enough content

I'm in love with Celeste Barber, and I check her Instagram feed every day. Honestly, she deserves to earn $1,000,000 just for posting the stuff that she does, shining a light on the hilarity of celebrity culture, in a light, accessible way. Her social media is GOLD.

However, and I say this time and time again, a funny person does not make a funny book. Or even an interesting book, for that matter...

Look, it just isn't captivating to read about someone from a loving home who used to take dance lessons and has ADHD. I can literally point you to 100 people I know with the same exact story. You have to be an INSANELY skilled writer to make that stuff interesting. Celeste Barber just... isn't.

I wanted more insight on her social media posts, her interactions with celebrities, and basically all the gossip that separates her from just listening to patients talk about their school life while I work. I listen to that other stuff every day. This was supposed to be interesting.

There are not going to be any books written about my fascinating life (*snorts*), so I guess I'm not one to talk, but Celeste Barber truly doesn't have enough content to fill a whole book. And I'm saying that from a loving, honest place.
