Publisher's Summary

Lost. Stolen. Forgotten…until the Alphabits step in.

A Team A.L.P.H.A. spinoff series.

Six years ago, Lance Lancaster (no, his parents hadn’t hated him - they were just that snooty) lost the only member of his family who cared about him - his six-year old autistic half-brother, Spencer Maximillian. He’s certain the anti-shifter group protesting outside of Spencer’s school is to blame, but no one has made any progress on the case, and he’s certain everyone has given up.

Until Oswald “Ozzy” Ryder and the Alphabits pick up the cold case. Ozzy swaggered into the Maximillian mansion expecting business as usual. He didn’t expect to find a handful of adorably too-big-eared fennec fox with a scent that screamed mate!

With Lance’s obsessive data collection and the Alphabits’ know-how, Lance begins to feel hope he might see his brother again. But things aren’t what they appeared, and it takes the insight of a new team member to put the team on the right track…and hope they’re not too late.

The Alphabits aren’t vigilantes. These former soldiers and officers of the law have to do things by the book - even when it tears them apart to do so. But once all their ducks are in a row, the bad guys had better beware! You do not want this team of protective alphas on your tail.

This is the fourth in the Alphabits series, and should be heard in order for maximum enjoyment. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. The team is growing, along with the complexity of their cases. Get ready for another sweet listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat. HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ listeners only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

By turns sweet and funny

I did a lot of laughing in this story of an alpha, Oswald "Ozzie" Ryder, and omega Lance Lancaster, who might not otherwise have met if the cold case of Spencer Maximillian's kidnapping hadn't been chosen for the Alphabits team to work on. And even though the investigation and recovery of the victim eight years after his kidnapping takes up a lot of the first half of the book, the story is more rom-com than romantic suspense, especially when the perpetrator and the other members of his group of predators are all "taken care of" by a vigilante group of shifter felines. The story is sweet for the love that Lance has for his younger half-brother Spencer who is autistic and whose parents are the only ones in his household who didn't truly care for him. Of course, it also wins points for the relationship between Lance and Ozzie, with Lance being the elegant and wealthy omega who loves his sometimes socially awkward alpha, Ozzie. The contrasting relationship between Spence and Lance -- once Spence comes back from his catatonic state -- and between Ozzie and his fraternal twin Patton is well played out, as is the contrast between Lance and Ozzie. And the dramatic moments, as for example, the baby shower that wasn't -- planned to be a disaster by the lovers and helped along by a bumbling alpha whom Lance's parents had hoped to marry him off to -- and the birth of Lance's and Ozzie's twins -- an unexpected blessing -- add great texture to the tale. The narrator does a good job of differentiating the characters, giving most life to Spencer, Lance, and Ozzie.

A Different Pierce

This is the fourth book in The Alphabits Series a spinoff of The Team ALPHA Series. Reading the other series might be a good idea you don’t have to but there is reference to other teams. And this series might be more enjoyable for having the read the other series first. The plot was entertaining, and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were developed and thought out. Pierce an Alpha and Adrian is an Omega and they are the MC’s of this book and they are mates. You get to see a different side of Pierce in this story both good and annoying. The narration was good it wasn't monotone and there were different voices. I can recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

My favorite so far!

Chained is book 4 in the Alphabits series. While each book features a different case and couple, there are recurring characters and I think the overall experience will be better if the books are read in order.

Ozzie and Lance were great together. I know I probably say this with almost all of Susi's books or her collabs with Crista Crown, but it's true, the couples are generally sweet and hot and have a lot of chemistry and that was especially true for Ozzie and Lance.

The Alphabits books are a bit different from other Alpha/Omega books in the sense that they involve cases where shifter kids are involved and that makes the cases a bit more heartbreaking than others. Like in this one where I felt so bad for Spencer. Poor little foxie and all he had to go through. *cuddles him* I was so glad he had Patton and Ozzie and Lance to help him get past all of it.

I'm very intrigued about Antonio, the STAHP leader. He's exactly the kind of character I'm attracted to, morally gray and interesting. After the phone conversation he had with the Alphabits team and Finn's reaction to him, I'm already very eager for their book.

John Solo excelled himself with this book. Lance's delivery scene was so poignant and emotional, I found myself in tears, and a lot of it was because of John's amazing narration. This is definitely one I'd love to listen to again in the future!

Holy smokes!!!

This book starts out with a bang and shocking moment that sets the mood for the rest of the book. Lance refuses to live the life his stepfather and mother want him to and has never given up hope that he will find his little brother. Ozzie is one of the Alphabits that is working on Lance’s brother’s disappearance when he realizes that Lance is his mate.

First, adore Lance being a Fennec Fox. Second, we will finally get an idea of why Ozzie and Patton are like they are.

Spencer is so very realistic and you will love him so much.

Great story

This was such a good book. Lance loves his kid brother and won’t give up trying to find him. Fortunately, his newly-discovered mate has the means to help locate him. I appreciate that Susi included a shifter on the spectrum as there aren’t enough books that are able to do such a good job of describing some of the nuances that are different with everyone.

I really love how Ozzy steps up and becomes the best big brother-in-law. It’s touching to see so many macho men become family men while helping others in need.

These books are such a great addition to Susi’s collection and John really does a splendid job with the narration.

ALPHABITS keeps on going Strong!

Six years ago, when Lance's 6-year old autistic half brother Spencer was taken from the school, he lost his only truly close family member. All these years, he hasn't forgotten the anti-shifter group that he believes is responsible for Spencer's disappearance nor has he given up all hope that he will eventually be reunited with his little brother one day.
Ozzy and the Alphabits end up picking up Spencer's cold case and go to Spencer's home to speak with his parents. The last thing Ozzy expects to find when there is his fated mate in Spencer's brother, the fennec fox shifter Lance. But when Lance and Ozzy team up and work together to find Spencer, they are closer than ever!
This book is another one that truly fits with the Team ALPHA/Alphabits series! It's got your fated mates, some action, some heat and of course some laughs! There are less of the appearance of Team ALPHA in this book than in the previous one, which is a bummer, but Lance's adorable fennec fox more than makes up for it.
John Solo did another amazing job with this book! He truly brings these characters to life and allows for a more vivid picture with his words. I can't wait for the next book!!

Great Series

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. This series just keeps getting better. This book has Ozzy finding his true mate Lance. They locate Lance's missing brother Spencer after he's been missing for 6 years. Lance and Ozzy decide to have Spencer live with them instead of going back home to his parents. This series really keeps you motivated not to stop listening to the audio. Once again John Solo does a great job.

Lance & Ozzy

A great addition to the series with another heartbreaking story of a kidnapped child, but with the Alphabits on the case, you can't help but have a HEA. Lance's half-brother was kidnapped and when Alphabits take on the case, he meets his fated mate, Ozzy. The sparks and chemistry are intense between these two. I really enjoyed watching them come together. The narrrator did a great job with the portrayal of the characters and the interpretation of the story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Ozzy gets his Man

This one is a particularly enjoyable addition to the Alphabits family. Ozzy has always been fun but Lance is perfect for him. Spencer however is my favourite character in this book. John Solo does another good job of keeping all the characters individual.

Loved it

I could give so many stars for this book. The team is expanding and growing up (slightly), in the Alphabits world these guys are the ones you want looking for your lost child/ brother. I loved this in book form and now in audible form too. I think it's my favorite one of the series. John Solo is brilliance it’s self when doing the voices for Lance, Ozzy and Spencer. I can’t wait for Patton’s book.

Give me more, loved it

So as usual I came to this well into the series. Always the bridesmaid........
but .... I loved this story.
Lance, at first I thought was going to be this stroppy bloke that was so f**ked up he was gonna flounce hs way through the story, but no, he was so strong and had so many layers to him. I can also tell you what i'd lie to do to Mrs Maximillian. She has 2 sons and doesn't give a shit about either of them. Ozzy is the loveable he-man who has the softest heart and falls like a ton of bricks for Lance. He also has a special place in in heart for Spencer. I thought i knew who the bad man was in this but yet again , how wrong was I? Susi nad Crista have got me hooked on yet another series I need to catch up on the first 3 in this series and then get the next. Damn ladies ,slow down and let me cacth up please.

I loved Ozzy and Lance!

Another heartbreakingly sweet tale with the loveable Alphabits Team!! I loved shifter stories with different shifters and I loved this Fennec Fox story!!! Lance is strong, sassy and so caring. He'd do anything to find his brother and the journey the Alphabits take to find Spencer and what happened to him opens up more cases for the team. I'm loving this series and all the characters!

This story has all the hallmarks of a fantastic Susi Hawke & Crista Crown story. I love the banter between Ozzy and his brother, Patton and their polar opposites are even more apparent with Ozzy finding his mate. I also love the special connection between Spencer and Patton. It shows Patton's big heart and I'm looking forward to his story up next!

Thanks for reading!

Saving one more kid... the Alphabits

Team Alphabits has a new cold case to solve. Ozzy is in charge of talking to the parents and finds not only info but his mate... I enjoy the insta love when mates meet. Lancer, helps with his brother search. It broke my heart how Spencer was found. But the kid is resilient. And Patton is a sweetheart with Spence. They are all one big family. It’s awesome. I like this series a bit too much.
John Solo has versatility, doing so many voices can’t be that easy. Good narration.
