When Callie returns to her hometown for the holidays she comes face to face with her old lover and Dominant, Jack. She left him three years ago believing he could never be the happily-ever-after man she needed. Yet Jack still wants her and she finds herself wanting to submit to him again. As Jack and Callie explore their Dominant/submissive relationship, Callie gets drawn deep into Jack's world all over again. For his part, Jack can't seem to forget how she nearly ruined him when she took off without even saying good-bye all those years ago, but he's afraid his baser needs will destroy Callie. If Callie gives Jack another chance to prove he can be what she needs, can Jack overcome his own fears and claim Callie forever?

I have to say that this was a cold book.
Any additional comments?
I didn't find that the two characters had any warmth in them, and I've read erotica before and right from page one you can feel the heat between the two main characters, but with Jack and Callie, I was chilled. Heat started to creep in toward the end of the book, but at that point it felt forced.
One Hot Story
Callie and Jack have a fire between them that will not be dimmed but Callie needs more than just attraction. She tried it once before and Jack broke her heart. This time she is ready for him but is she strong enough to hold back her heart?
I found myself lost in Callie and Jack’s story. Callie loves Jack and their scenes are great but she longs for the communication and the emotions that Jack seems to be at a loss for. I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape and seeing Callie stand up for herself was nice. Jack is an intense Dom, he does and takes what he wants and he wants Callie. There is just one catch; Callie is not going to be taken so easily. The two make a great couple and fit nicely together. Throughout the powerful BDSM scenes we still see the love that the two have for one another. This is not your sweet romance. This is an intense and hot read that will have you enthralled from start to finish.

What made the experience of listening to Caught the most enjoyable?
I have to admit I absolutely loved this book. Why a 4 star review instead of 5? I couldn't get over Jack. Callie and Jack's relationship, if you can call it that is like any typical relationship with the addition of Jack living the lifestyle full time. This wasn't an issue with me. I felt that it was fairly obvious to anyone reading, or if you happened to have the audio book, listening, that Jack made no apologies for who and what he is. That's awesome!
Callie is a SUB without a DOM to care for her, to allow her to submit to him. Personally, I felt Callie was great. She may be a SUB, but she's not meek female. She knows what she wants and if Jack can't or won't be the DOM to provide it, she'll leave... afterall, she's done it once before. She however isn't telling him what she needs, like all women (and yes, this includes me), she expects him to just know.
Jack is a DOM and he makes no apology for it. He lives the lifestyle and even has a play room in his house. With the title DOM comes certain expectations in my book and Jack met every single one. Even his utter lack of knowing how to communicate with Callie when it matters most is realistic. My issue with Jack is "Beauty". For a teacher's assistant his repeated use of "Beauty" when he spoke to her had me rolling my eyes after a while.
Overall though, I loved the interactions between Jack and Callie. Carr's writing style enabled me to feel as if I were really getting to know both Jack and Callie and ultimately made me feel as if I really knew them. Great story and definitely recommended if you like BDSM with a bit of angst thrown in.
