Not quite what I expected

I was really having trouble with the readers voice as well as some of the authors view as I am a Catholic and studies my faith. I do, however, appreciate the authors motivation in writing the book. But, for me, once again it wasn't what I was expected. I will try to listen to it again in the future.

Opinionated

Too much opinion, I thought this book would provide actual references and information, but it was mostly opinions and personal ideas. Still not sure if the writer is actually a practicing Catholic. There were some catechism things, but they were the most basic ones. If your wanting to get basic info this might be an ok book at most.

True. Divine composition for the Bible.

Yes. The book does address this situation. IT shows how Catholic worship is more dedicated than (at least almost all) Protestant-style. Other opoints too.
On to the other part of review title. In 2014 it became an established scientific fact that water is older than the Sun. This agrees with Genesis Chapter One and it is also found in Discover Magazine Sep. 2014. Bible scientific accuracy is all important as there is no way ancient pagans (or any regular mortals for that matter) could have found all this correct, precise scientific accuracy of the Bible (like, also a sphere of an Earth hanging on nothing). True. Divine composition for the Bible.

Deeper the second time around.

This is an excellent book, which brings to life worship as God planned from the beginning. Looking forward to going deeper the second time around.

Easier to digest than some of the others.

Interesting read that examines Catholic teaching as it relates to Bible. It also addressed how the Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament. While there are several books on the scriptural roots of Catholic teaching, this one is a very good introductory work because it is more accessible and easier to digest than some of the others.

Great for Cradle Catholics too!

As a cradle Catholic who has been through many ups and downs with the Catholic church, this audio book renewed my faith and why I continue to be a Catholic even when it isn't the easiest thing to be. I really enjoyed the audio book!

You won't be disappointed!

Reading this book brings to light: how the Old Covenant foreshadowed the New Covenant; how everything in the Old Testament was meant to prepare God's people for the coming of Jesus and His proclamation of the New Kingdom on earth; how the Catholic Church is the church established by Jesus to administer His earthly Kingdom through the Mass and the Sacraments.
You won't be disappointed!

I'm only a quarter of the way through it!!

This book is amazing so far and I'm only a quarter of the way through it!!
One of the things that I love most....is it's simplicity and I'm "getting it".....it's making sense!
The second thing I love about the book, and the author (and her facebook/website) is her love of scripture and gift for teaching it....you 'feel' it.

In college I briefly attended Protestant services.

I am in the middle of this book and can't put it down. As a cradle Catholic who for years have studied the Old and New testaments of the Bible...I am astonished at the clear thinking of this author.. In college I briefly attended Protestant services but could not identify what it was I felt was lacking.

An audio book every Catholic should listen to.

I got a lot of practical ways of answering those who question my religion without getting all flustered. Can be a great reference book for questions about Catholicism.
