Monique, a beautiful monarch butterfly who loves nectar more than anything, narrowly escapes human butterfly catchers while migrating to Mexico with her flock. A Whimsical World with a Strong Heroine

Caterpillarland is charming, thoughtful, and full of heart. The author, Roxanne Beck, creates a gentle, imaginative world that invites children to trust the journey of growth and change. (She also narrates the book beautifully!)

Monique, the lead butterfly, is a wonderful female protagonist. She shows that strength can be kind, leadership can be gentle, and believing in yourself truly matters. Her story is empowering without being heavy-handed.

The visuals leap off the page, and I can easily imagine Caterpillarland coming to life on screen as an animated family film. It has that rare blend of warmth, imagination, and emotional clarity.
