Another great Cowboy romance!

“Catching The Cowboy” is the second book in the “Circle B” Ranch series by Kennedy Fox. The story is based around Rowan, Alex and Riley’s daughter, and Diesel who is River’s (Rowen’s brother) best friend. A cowboy romance and best friend’s little sister thrown in? Sign me up.

Diesel has been in love with Rowan for years but doesn’t think he’s good enough for her. He’s a ranch hand at Circle B Ranch and Rowan is a college graduate. Convinced that he will never be good enough, he keeps his feeling hidden. Rowan has always had a crush on Diesel but after finding her boyfriend in college cheating on her, she’s sworn off men. However, the two cannot deny their chemistry and how attracted they are to each other. Diesel might be older and his best friend might kill him but sometimes fate doesn’t care.

The build up to them being together is intense and hot. Knowing each other their whole lives, it’s natural that they develop feelings. I love how natural those relationships are. He’s only a few years older than her so it’s nothing creepy or weird. And the plot twist that was thrown in was great. Kennedy Fox always keeps you guessing. I love to be a fly in the room when those two are plotting.

I was given a code to listen to the audiobook version for my honest review. I had read the ebook before and loved it. It’s even better in audio. Lia Langola uses her southern accent again and it’s perfect. Stephen Dexter is quickly becoming a favourite male narrator for me. A gruffly, Southern accent is always okay with me.

Catching The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox was a fun, best friend sister romance. I just love Kennedy Fox’s writing and the characters from the Circle B ranch series.
I listened to the audio and the narrators really brought Diesel and Rowan to life. Who doesn’t love a good cowboy?
Diesel has always loved Rowan, but she is his best friends sister. Rowan always had a crush on Diesel but she was off limits. A childhood first kiss that was never forgotten!
These two were so much fun and the narrators gave another layer to their story.
Rowan is spunky, and wants what she wants and that is Diesel. Diesel is caring, swoons and knows that no one compares to Rowan.
They compliment each other so well, and add so much to the Circle B Ranch stories.
I can’t wait for more in this series!

Amazing listen

Such a fun listen. I love the witty banter between all the characters. Diesel and Rowan are so amazing together. Just an overall sweet story about a boy that loved his best friends sister since they were young. Finally one day he gets his chance and sparks fly. With a few bumps a long the way, the happily ever after happens. Kudos to the narrators Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter. They really did an amazing job bringing Rowan and Diesel to life.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧A Captivating Delight

Kennedy Fox delivers another fabulous novel in their “Circle B Ranch” series, it is a wonderful “off-limits” romance. The story is well written, it grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. It was so easy to get lost in this story, I adored the characters, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Finished with college and her boyfriend Rowan Bishop is back home on the ranch and is working for the family business. She had the biggest crush on Adam, aka Diesel or the “Big D” when she was kid, until he crushed her heart. Diesel is happy to see her home, she is the one he could never have but is determined to change that. After playing the field he know he want no other, only Rowan, it has always been her for him. Many obstacles stand in his way including Rowan as well as her family, especially her brother Riley who always warned him to stay away from her. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt and emotional moments, some surprises and hot romance. It is entertaining and enjoyable and will definitely leave you smiling. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another fantastic story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter are fabulously talented narrators and voice artists. They continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on, Stephen Dexter’s Diesel was the perfect cowboy, alpha, cocky with a whole lot of heart. Lia Langola’s Rowan was perfection too, feisty, strong with the right amount of emotion. They handled the witty banter and dialogue with ease and landed the humor without missing a beat. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

the banter between Rowan and Diesel made me laugh so hard at times. they are so hot and spicy together. Diesel is so kind and sweet which is so sexy!

So much fun!

Catching The Cowboy is a super fun, brothers best friend, small town cowboy romance. Diesel has loved Rowan since he was a teenager and finally gets the chance to spend more time with her once she returns to the ranch after college. Diesel and Rowan have fantastic Chemistry, there is a lot banter and funny moments, Diesel is a man child and rowan is sassy and is not willing to be walked all over again after coming out of a bad relationship. I love Stephen Dexter’s narration of the male characters in this series, he is the perfect texan cowboy.

This Audio is Amazing

This book is amazing!! I couldn't put it down and this just may be my favorite of all!!! The chemistry of these characters is off the charts. The sass Rowan and swoon worthy Diesel will leave you speechless. I can't wait for more from the Ranch!!! Kennedy Fox never disappoints with their amazing work!!

Even better the second time around!!!

My way of "re-reading" a book is via audio and after listening to this I want to go back and actually read it again. Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola really bring Rowan and Diesel to life with their narration. There is one particular scene that hit me harder while listening to it than when I read it and I know it was because of how well Stephen Dexter was reading it and the emotions he put behind it. If you have read the Circle B Ranch book I highly recommend listening to them and if you can do audio the first time around then definitely check them out. I cannot wait for the next one!!!

Cowboy Romance

Diesel has been in love with Rowen Bishop for as long as he can remember. Unfortunately, she is his best friend's sister and decidedly off-limits. When Rowan returns to the ranch after college graduation she finds herself spending time with Diesel and seeing a side of him she's never known. Just as a relationship is on their horizon, Diesel's past catches up to him and changes everything. For years Rowan and Diesel's relationship had been based on sarcasm and insults, and flirting on Diesel's part. Over time, she came to see that Diesel had always been there for her, always looking out for her. Diesel could be a goofball and something of a man-child, but there was nothing childish about his feelings for Rowan. When Diesel manned up to deal with his past (after some initial denial), it went a long way in showing what kind of man he was.

Loved it

Narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter, this is Rowan Bishop and Adam (aka Diesel aka Big D)’s story and I was drawn in from the start. Their performances were spot on and really brought the characters to life for me.
Diesel has been in love with Rowan for years, but knowing he isn’t good enough for her he has never told her. Complicating matters is that he is her brother Riley’s best friend. Diesel has a reputation as a love them and leave them kind of guy. After finding her boyfriend has cheated on her Rowan has returned home to the family ranch and in her face is the one man who has always gotten under her skin, Diesel.
The chemistry that sizzles between them is impossible to ignore, so what will happen when they finally cross the line? Will Diesel finally go after the woman he has wanted for so many years? Will he put his friendship with Riley at risk for a chance with Rowan?
Finally deciding that it’s their time to take a chance on a relationship with one another all appears to be going well until life throws them a rather large curve ball. I really loved Rowan and Diesel together, the banter was witty and they really suited one another.
Catching The Cowboy is well written and you will be drawn in by the story that Kennedy Fox weaves.

My Thoughts on Catching the Cowboy

I really enjoyed this book. I love a good cowboy romance and Diesel more than fit the bill. I liked the brother's best friend/best friend's little sister aspect. But also liked that Diesel and Rowan had a cute unrequited love thing going on. Just not the way you'd normally expect.

There were a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications in this story. Maybe a few instances that just talking right away could have avoided. But they owned it and moved forward. There was also a huge secret that rocked everything. When it came out in the story made things even more complicated. But the characters were really likable and had me invested in them. Diesel in particular I loved. Overall I enjoyed the storyline though. And I loved the narration. Both narrators did an amazing job and really enhanced my experience.

Diesel and Ro are vibes!!

I LOVE Diesel. He’s been one of my fave characters since day dot in the Bishop clan. Hearing his a Rowan’s story gave me all the warm and fuzzies, all the steam and all the fun! If you love best friends little sister, small town, secret romance story lines than Catching the Cowboy is the one for you! Hearing it as opposed to reading it add a whole layer to the Bishop experience 🥰

be still my beating heart ! Diesel is one sexy swoon worthy cowboy , he knows what he wants and he's going to go for it , a curveball gets thrown his way (I don't know the cowboy equivalent lol) but he doesn't let them slow him down and he embraces it full force

This cowboy story is full of charm & romance

Catching the Cowboy is Diesel and Rowan's story, after listening to Riley's story I was charmed by Diesel's cheeky guy attitude and wondering who would be the woman to tame his playboy ways. What I loved about this book was getting a different side to the Hero that I wasn't expecting. 3 years on from the events of the last book Diesel is watching his best friend get married and start a family with the love of his life, while he looks on madly in love with his best friends little sister.

Rowan is the heroine and she is a feisty woman, she has grown up with Diesel and won't stand for his immature behaviour, his teasing or his manwhore charm, even though she has feelings for him and has for many years. When these two get together the chemistry is clear to see, they just have a ease about their friendship and their connection. Rowan and Diesel start their relationship in secret, rolling in the hay and enjoying the time they can steal away, when something from Diesel's past comes barrelling back into his life and changes everything.

I loved this twist to the story, it added the angsty edge I love from Kennedy Fox. It left me unsure of where the story was going to go, a certain unpredictability and that's my favourite part of a good romance. The change in Diesel and how he handled everything made me love him even more, but at the same time my heart hurt for Rowan. The Circle B series is one that I will keep coming back to, it holds a small town feel and the excellent performances from Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter really brought Rowan and Diesel to life. The audiobook held emotions, longing, vulnerability and a determination to be a true gentleman who stands by his morals and Stephen's performance reflected that beautifully for Diesels character. With the epilogue rounding things out nicely but bringing in hints for the next book, I am looking forward to returning back to Circle B ranch soon.

Holy cowboys!!

Catching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox is another fabulous addition to this charming series. Seriously, this group of cowboys are so darn charming that no one single woman stands a chance against them. Diesel is one of those men that just knows who he wants and since he feels he can’t have the girl of his dreams; he warms the beds of women around town. The girl he wants just happens to be his best friends’ little sister, Rowan. Yup, some of my favorite romances since I have two older brothers and grew up dreaming of their friends! These two try to fight it for a while but the chemistry is strong. Why fight it?

Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola are just fantastic! Dexter pulls off this cowboy accent so perfectly… it’s like country meets alpha male and Dexter SELLS IT!!!! He was just a dream to listen too! Langola seemed to channel Rowan’s character. She pulled out all the stops with her feisty personality. I love it when narrators really seem to embrace their characters which is exactly what these narrators did.

A Sexy Cowboy Romance

I don't think Kennedy Fox could write a bad book, every book I have read is truly wonderful and Catching the Cowboy was as amazing as the rest. It's got a great storyline, lots of steamy sex, angst and of course cowboys, how could you not love it! I can't wait to read / listen to more books in this series as there are many other characters besides the main two that I want to hear their stories as well, especially Maisy & Gavin.

The narrators did a wonderful job of portraying each person in this book and their southern accents weren't annoying as so many can be. I look forward to hearing them read again.

This is a fantastic book with everything you can hope for in a romance and a MUST read / listen!

I just loved Diesel (Adam) and Rowan. This was a fun, low angst, best friends sister romance, with some hot cowboy riding thrown in. Great flow to their relationship and the story and liked how the surprise story line went. Great teaser for the next book - can't wait! Highly recommend.

Diesel and Rowan!

Diesel doesn’t remember a time that he wasn’t attracted to his best friend’s sister Rowan but instead of telling her how he felt he made it his mission to do whatever he could to get her attention. Now that she is back home, he is determined that things will be different and that means convincing her that the only place she belongs is with him.

Rowan has finished college and returned home to help out her family, but she isn’t looking for another relationship after being betrayed by her ex. The only problem is that instead of him being an annoying jerk he is sexy cowboy who has her wondering what if.

Diesel is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy while Rowan is feisty and fiery and interactions between them are both humorous and hot. Although their journey has its obstacles it only made their love and their relationship that much stronger. The narrators were a great choice for the characters and their flirty banter was perfect.

I cannot get enough of Kennedy Fox! Every series is amazing, and I am falling in love with every one of these cowboys! This one features Diesel, who has been in love with Rowan Bishop since he was a freshman in high school. You cannot get anymore romantic than that! Now adults, Rowan is due to come home from graduating college, and her track record with dating has not been good. Rowan despises secrets and cheating. When Diesel makes his move though, the fire is ignites and the passion is high. But there is a hitch. Rowan is his best friend's sister and now they have to keep it quiet! Riley will not be happy. With a twist that can break the relationship even without Riley's blessing, we are kept on edge. Will they find their happily ever after? It's so much fun seeing Riley again, and this family is one you just feel at home with. Rowan is a little frustrating at times, but she is definitely a good fit for Diesel. And Diesel just melts my heart. Fun, flirty and exciting, this book will make your heart sing and leave you wanting to visit the Circle B Ranch again!

Stephen Dexter comes out to narrate Diesel, and he literally becomes the character. You can hear it all in his voice. The love, disbelief, perseverance and passion, it's all there for the listening. Lia Langola comes in as Rowan, strong willed, hesitant and I love Langola's ability to let us feel with her nuances. Fantastically cast, you will love the narration of this wonderful book.

Diesel and Rowan were a delight to read.
But, the way Stephen and Lia brought it to life has me falling in love with them all over again. FANTASTIC NARRATION.
Sexy, sweet, hilarious and shockingly swoony. Diesel is just the best!
