Publisher's summary

A heartwarming Christmas story about finding what really matters in life.

As a first-year law associate, Sydney Batson knows she will be updating her resume by New Year’s if she loses her current case. So when her grandmother gets inexplicably ill while she’s in court, Sydney arranges for a cab to get her to the clinic.

The last thing cab driver Finn Parrish wants is to be saddled with a wheelchair-bound old lady with dementia. But because Miss Callie reminds him of his own mother, whom he failed miserably in her last days, he can’t say no when she keeps calling him for rides. Once a successful gourmet chef, Finn’s biggest concern now is paying his rent, but half the time Callie doesn’t remember to pay him. And as she starts to feel better, she leads him on wild-goose chases to find a Christmas date for her granddaughter.

When Finn meets Sydney, he’s quite sure she’s never needed help finding a date. Does Miss Callie have an ulterior motive, or is this just a mission driven by delusions? He’s willing to do whatever he can to help fulfill Callie’s Christmas wish. He just never expected to be a vital part of it.

Praise for Catching Christmas:

“The feel-good Christmas book of the year. Blackstock’s tale of love and redemption wrapped in a holiday bow will leave you smiling. Don’t miss Catching Christmas.” (New York Times best-selling author Rachel Hauck)

“Blackstock’s Catching Christmas is not your average romance. Darling and laugh-out-loud cute, it makes the reader think about the important things in life. I read it in one gulp and wished there was more. Highly recommended!” (Colleen Coble, USA Today best-selling author of the Hope Beach series and the Lavender Tides series)

“Terri Blackstock’s latest offering touches tender places with its quirky characters and stirring plot. Catching Christmas explores what happens when the paths of a disenchanted Taxi driver collide with that of an overworked attorney. Blackstock weaves a compelling, romantic tale that is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit!” (Denise Hunter, best-selling author of Honeysuckle Dreams)

Stand-alone novel.

Hopeful and encouraging Christmas story that will appeal to fans of Hallmark movies.

Delightful Story!

This was the best audible book! I never would have imagined one of my favorite Christian mystery writers could write such an amazing, funny, and enlightening story. I laughed out loud quite a bit at the antics of Miss Callie. I wish for everyone to have or have had a Miss Callie in their life. May Sydney and Finn have a joy filled life remembering all the times Miss Callie seemded to drive them crazy. They didn’t know what they had till they didn’t have it anymore.

Good story - unnecessarily religious

I really enjoyed the premise and the characters involved, and the performance was really well done! My overall enjoyment was impacted by the unnecessary religious overtones and even a bible reading at one point. A lot of the story seemed to be pushing the protagonists into the grandmothers beliefs. While this might not seem like a big deal, it was not at any point in the summary that this was a 'Christian romance' and as a pretty hard core atheist, I would not have bought it if it was more clearly labelled.

Reader is awesome

I enjoyed this cute little story by the master storyteller, Terri Blackstock. I actually listened to it on Audible this time, instead of reading it, and I have to say that Sarah Zimmerman is an incredible narrator!! She really enhanced an already good story!

Great Holiday Listen

This book sparked my imagination and I fell in love with Ms. Callie because of her lovely Southern voice. I will look for more books narrated by Sarah Zimmerman. Catching Christmas illustrates the hope and grace of the Lord especially at Christmas.

A unique storyline that bought the couple together in a charming way. Loved the grandmother’s character. Really good narration by Ms Zimmerman.

Catching Christmas

This is the second Christmas I have read this wonderful story. I enjoyed it more this year! From beginning to the ending, I couldn't put it down. Loved grandma and her granddaughter and especially her driver. Narrator was over the top! Merry Christmas everyone!

Not as humorous as implied

I wish I had waited and done more research before purchasing this book. The story is sweet. The plot has good potential and the characters were likeable enough. My disappointment is that most of the publishers' descriptions provided implied this would be along the lines of a rom-com. Which it is not. I think if you find this story sad versus uplifting that will rely upon your personal situation. I was not familiar with the author, who might be well known in some circles for Christian based stories. Again, my fault for not doing more research. I actually typed in "Christmas Romance" in the search box for Audible and bought this, as I said, based on less than accurate summaries.
