Malgré cela, Joseph-Arthur a l’impression de tourner en rond, tout comme son ami Daniel, qui vit des bouleversements familiaux intenses. Pendant ce temps, à la quincaillerie Picard souffle un vent de changement; les idées novatrices de Joseph-Alfred visant à assurer l’avenir de l’entreprise permettent à Léonie de s’épanouir de bien belle manière. Entre le doux parfum des tartes, des tourtières et de la lasagne, une belle solidarité soude les habitants de la Place des Érables, malgré les défis qui se présentent et les années qui passent.
