Great Series

I have listened to all of Blair Howard's Harry Starke books and finally decided to try the off shoot series that revolves around Harry's ex- Kate Gazzara. They are every bitt as good! Nice to already know the background and characters from their appearances in Harry's series. I especially like getting to know Lonny a little more. He certainly is not an ass!
Renee Maxwell is superb here. She has now become Kate for me and I look forward to listening to as many more of these Kate titles as Blair wants to produce. Already started book 3, and it seems just as good if not better!

Good cold case murder mystery

I liked this story. It showed more personality of the police, had some humor and was a good murder mystery. I think it's fascinating for police to investigate cold cases and try to solve them. This was well written and enjoyable.

Excellent Series

All is quiet this early in the morning for three women, watching the birds, and jotting them down as they see them. A chirping noise is heard, looking she come across a mannequin, no a dead body. Brutal killing, was it jealousy to be stabbed so many times. Killer not caught
Kate 23 years later with partner Lonnie reinterview people, unknowably she now is in danger. Great tense plot, you hope they can solve and justice is done. Once again he has given us a well descriptive story, that doesn’t disappoints his readers..
The narration was good, given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Ready for more.

Enjoyed listening to this narration. The characters were very believable...I have never known any of those creepy sexual harassers, it is much better today but they still don't get the message and, as in this case, a woman is able to do very little about it if she likes her job!

Mystery

I can’t wait to read more of Cassandra. She is super, we never know what is to come, keeps me guessing. Super job writer and narrater,
I would recommend these to all, you won’t be sorry.

The audible was not so good - kept cutting out - had to restart several times to keep it going

Great Read

Blair Howard is a great writer. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end! The characters were believable. The storyline kept my attention throughout the book! Renee Maxwell has the perfect voice for this book! It is a must read!

Well-written and enjoyable detective fiction

Cassandra (Lt. Kate Gazzara #2) my seventh read from author Blair Howard and the second in the Lt. Kate Gazzara series. Before reading Jasmine (Lt. Kate Gazzara #1), my sixth read from author Blair Howard and the first in the Lt. Kate Gazzara series I'd only read the author's Civil War & Civil War/Western Series. Well-written and enjoyable detective fiction this book is at least as good. I was been given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Renée Maxwell’s narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I look forward to Saffron, the next book in this series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
