Carnations, Catfights, and Consequences is an laidback audiobook best listened to while putting the finishing touches on dinner, cleaning up, and completing household chores.

The voice assistant narrative can be confusing at times and there are pauses in odd places. However, those minor things do not distract too much from the story.

The characters come off as two dimensional and some are very flat. You won’t find anything too deep here.

This is a quick three hour and change story. A bit predictably and repetitive but worth a listen if you’re in between titles and want a short story to help you along with your 2026 reading list.
