Publisher's summary

Heavy is the head that wears the crown of a kingpin. Mardi Gras and crawfish aren’t the only things poppin’ on Bourbon Street. The Big Easy is turned upside down when Freeway is faced with lies and drama, and loyalty is called into question as he battles demons from the past and present.

Cal “Freeway” Moore, a well-known hitta and kingpin, knows all too well that running his New Orleans-based empire comes at a price. “Shoot first and ask questions later” is his motto as he fights to hold down his kingdom and maintain a healthy relationship with the love of his life, Belladonna. They say you keep your friends close but your enemies closer, but what if both are the same—and coming for his spot?

Audible kept skipping

I think the book was ok , wish we had a better ending or more of a what happened next to the daughter and son as a couple . Seeing how their relationship happened overnight . I tried to follow along with the actual book and realized the audible was skipping pretty badly making me think I missed something or it was extra chapters .

The audio kept skipping

Very disappointed that the audio was skipping and ending chapters in the middle of sentences. Even the ending, I don’t get because of it. This book seemed to have two separate stories that were trying to be forced together. Not my favorite.

Horrible

The book is ridiculous. The characters are written as if the author did no research. I skipped all over the book. Truly the worst book, I have listened to. The girlfriend gets kidnapped and then he gives his traitor partner 50 million to get her back. Then he gives up the streets and his connect all in one setting. Ridiculous. Then they go to dinner. I am like what the hell🤔. The book horrible. I wan a refund.

Horrible story and narrator

The narrator was not good. He didn’t make the characters believable. There were several chapters with errors that started over. Before the final audio should have been available someone should have listened to the whole thing to fix those errors. The author was all over the place and the story had gap and some scenes didn’t make since. For instance, when Freeway left the club and made the call after his girl was kidnapped, it jumps to him going to the club owners house. How did he get home that fast? Stuff just didn’t make sense.
