Publisher's summary

Darn it, a man has his pride and a caribou of a certain majestic presence - all of which could wind up ruined if he abases himself to play a simple-minded reindeer in the town's Christmas parade.

No way was he wearing tinsel in his antlers.

Like heck was he sporting a red nose and pulling a sleigh.

But he changes his mind when he meets the woman in charge of the event.

Single mom, Crystal, is doing her best to offer her daughter the best Christmas ever. It's their first in Kodiak Point, and she's not about to let some vain jerk ruin it.

If playing dirty is what it takes...then bring on the Christmas games.

As Crystal and Kyle butt heads, they discover more than goodwill this holiday season. They're gifted with a second chance at love.

Great Christmas story

I loved the book the first time I read it, still as funny and light hearted all you could want in a Christmas novel.
The funniest moment was when kyle resites his own verson of Rudolph thr red nose renighdeer.

The only thing that let it down is I felt the narrator lack any enthusiasm while reading it was very flat in places.

Otherwise a fab book.

Heartwarming Christmas Story

Caribou's Gift is the fourth book (novella) in the PNR shifter Kodiak Point series. I have read all the books in this series, and its off-shoots, and loved them all. Caribou's gift is a wonderful holiday addition to the series.

Kyle is a former military caribou shifter in the town of Kodiak Point. Crystal is a single mom, new to the town and hiding from her past, who needs a Rudolph for the town's Christmas parade. Kyle is just the shifter needed for the job, but his pride is standing in the way of making her little girl smile.

The story: I really enjoyed the story and it had me smiling throughout. Kyle has an interesting personality quirk which makes everything a mission. He knows what he wants (Crystal) and is relentless in that particular mission. He is also a very loving man who can make a traumatized little girl trust, smile, and laugh. Crystal is very protective of her daughter and her own heart, but can't fight it when her Kyle lets her daughter wrap him around her little finger. Eventually Crystal's past come hunting, and we get to find out why a caribou's rack is better than that of a moose (but don't tell Boris!).

The audible: The narrator did a good job of having a different tone for the different characters - it was especially fun listening to him portray little Gigi. I wish he didn't pause in strange places while narrating, but he did a much better job with this book than I've heard him do with others. I REALLY had been looking forward to hearing him sing the song in the beginning and end of the book, but alas, he just spoke it. Overall, he did a really good job with this one.

This Book Came Alive

I hadn't read Caribou's Gift so the book was a refreshing delight. I didn't have any preconcieved notions of what the characters should sound like. I feel the narrator really made the characters real and this narrator is one I am really starting to enjoy. Great book and great narrator.

I keep this one on my device at all times!

I have both the ebook and audiobook now. I will always keep a copy of this on my device for days when my depression hits hard. I love watching Kyle become a "knight in tattooed armor" for little Gigi.

Bad boy with an attitude melts when meeting a cute scared little girl. And she just happens to be the daughter of the woman who just caught his attention.

Kyle decides these girls need him.

Fun Christmas Story

A single Mom who is going to do everything she can to make Christmas special for her little girl meets a stubborn Caribou who doesn't want to be Rudolph in the town's Christmas Parade.

Crystal is literally my hero in this book - but how can you not love a Mom that is doing whatever she can for her little girl. Kyle definitely steps up though. He falls for this little girl and wants to do whatever he can to be her Knight. I really enjoyed the interactions between Kyle and Mimi. Then you add the missions that he has and you can't help but chuckle.

If you want a lighthearted story that is sure to just bring a smile to your face and you enjoy Shifters you will definitely enjoy this one.

Logan McAllister isn't my favorite narrator but he did a great job with this one. I can't wait to listen to more stories from Kodiak Point.
