  • Summary

  • A hilarious take on modern dating through the eyes of Northern ex-pat Grace and laidback Londoner Elliot as they attempt to navigate life while being haunted through the years by a blind date that goes disastrously wrong.

Grace Williams and Elliot Dowd meet for a blind date arranged by Connector Magazine’s ‘Match-Ups’ feature, a popular free mag flung in to the hands of commuters at tube stations. They both arrive with good intentions but the date quickly turns sour due to a series of hilarious mishaps...the date is deemed a disaster, and neither Grace not Elliot want to see each other ever again. The Universe however has other ideas...the feature is a hit for the magazine and it goes viral turning them both in to overnight celebrities. As the years pass and Elliot and Grace’s world’s continue to collide they can’t deny their enduring, if infuriating, connection.

Written by accomplished audio writer Eddie Robson, Car Crash is produced for Audible by Bafflegab, an award winning leader in audio production.

Interesting, diff take on love. Performance GREAT!

Fun podcast. Not what I expected. A little preachy about lifestyle politics. Storyline was unique. Loved the characters ... especially Elliot, hated Grace though. She is super insecure and knows she's unlikable. Nice it was a quasi HE.

Narration was fantastic! 👏 👏 👏. I love Alfred Enoch's sexy voice! Entire cast was terrific!

Funny and relatable!

I love the main characters, Gracie and Elliot. They were so funny and relatable. Adults figuring life out and dating and relationships. The performances were excellent and really enjoyed how the episodes were formatted and the length. In conclusion a very hilarious and lovely listen.

BEST OF THE AUDIBLE PODCASTS!

This story is so wonderfully smart, well-acted and so funny. The characters are great and terrible all at the same time. It's my favorite thing to listen to before I sleep. Brilliant and hilarious! ❤

interesting story

The story isn't straight forward and that's good, its realistic, however Grace was very annoying, especially towards the end. She was just so negative but the writing and actors were great. I guess some people ate just like that, so she too was realistic. I took off 1 star just for that.

Good book, great performance

Fun series, narrators were great, but the background noise, for example to let us know we were at a baseball game, made it really hard to hear the actual words.

awful female lead character

This is another woman written as self absorbed, excessively complaining, narrow minded and pushy. I'm not sure why some movies and written stories expect audiences to tolerate these characters long enough to find reasons to care what happens to them.

it was okay

the plot was good overall but the characters were extremely annoying and negative. it was hard to like either of them and the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying.
