Publisher's Summary

He broke her heart, and now he’s back....

From the New York Times best-selling author Penny Reid

Part three of Elements of Chemistry

One week.

Manhattan apartment.

Super-hot ex-boyfriend.

What’s the worst that could happen?

It’s been nine months since Kaitlyn Parker has seen or heard from Martin Sandeke - nine months and five stages of matter. She’s lived through the worst of first-love heartbreak, and is most certainly stronger (and less likely to hide in science cabinets) than ever before.

But now Martin is back. And he wants to be friends. But he’s sending mixed signals to the Bunsen burner in Kaitlyn’s pants. Will Martin re-capture Kaitlyn’s heart? Can Kaitlyn and Martin ever be just friends? Or, despite an abundance of chemistry, are some bonds just too unstable to endure?

HCl not HCi

As in HCL (hydrochloric acid)! Gah, right in the FEELS! love the story and the characters. love the previews, but not the repetition. And now I have to wait for the physics stories to go on sale because I'm not spending 3 credits on one story.

Finally done!!!!

Now that I’ve use many credits to complete this story I have to say I loved it. I wish it was one book and the third book took forever to get to the end. But I’m happy I did listen to this story.

Fine but not good...

It was fine to listen to, but not good. I purchased the 3 books, which now seems like a total waste of money/credits. Sorry to Penny’s fans but this one (and I mean the whole story) is not worth it.

As expected from Penny

I love her characters, and this narrator absolutely nailed it!

“Gah! Right in the FEELS!”😂

I am no longer a teenager though, so sometimes the story was a little wordy, but not unnatural for this character at all.
I love these smart quirky women in Penny Reid’s books.

Sigh

I really do love Penny Reid’s work but this series was so frustrating. Katelyn the protagonist is too clueless, there was a lot of repetition (“as well” and “…what?” and the parroting, gah!), and the cliffhanger endings. Not worth it, sorry to say.

Such a sweet likeable couple

I felt like i was suspended the entire time. Parker is so smart but so oblivious to what is right in front of her eyes. I loved the story but smacked my head a couple times at how clueless she was.

Its a good series. I love the author
