Fun to listen to.

If you could sum up Captive in three words, what would they be?

Appealing Sexually Captivating

What other book might you compare Captive to and why?

New in devour but loving it.

Which character – as performed by lyric – was your favorite?

Tori

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

If you are looking for something to get you into the erotic mood, this book is a great start for such exploration. There is a chapter that tugs at you in the sensual way that makes you remember being a woman freshly touched.

Any additional comments?

Along with the sexual enjoyment of this book the mystery of Tori's story unfolding is enjoyable and keeps your interested. I quite loved getting to listen to this first book in the series.

not a fan of the narrator

the narrator didn't really make it a story unless her idea of the character was to sound somber

Unique and well presented

Would you listen to Captive again? Why?

The author's story weaving skills made the story very easy to follow. The audible narration made the words animate and draw me in.

What other book might you compare Captive to and why?

Skye Warren's book "Trust in me" I found the mystery and suspense of a similar calibur. both have the ability to leave me craving more.

What does lyric bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

she is Tori. I easily forget at times lyric is the narrator and not the real life confession of Tori's life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

this is a great book. I couldn't put it down and the ending left me hanging on the edge of my chair hungry for the next in the Series.

Very Engaging

What made the experience of listening to Captive the most enjoyable?

The story draws you in and keeps you wanting to figure out what is going to happen to the people involved. Lyric has a wonderful voice. I might just listen to this more than once.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Captive?

I wouldn't list a single point or two. More of the over all journey. You are with Tori as she makes the, sometimes painful, path to grow. i love how to narrator seems to pick on up this and you can feel the strength of Tori build through out the book.

Which character – as performed by lyric – was your favorite?

Favorite character would have to be the main character, Tori. What was also very enjoyable was that Lyric gave each character their own tone and accent. This really helps someone like me to keep it straight on who is speaking. Something I would have trouble with other wise

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I am not one to normally have a external reaction to something I am reading. Is very internal for me. That being said I found many of characters being someone I could care about. I think this is partly do to the writing as well as to the narration.

Any additional comments?

A very enjoyable book. I am looking for to the next installment and hope the same narrator is involve. Would mess up my head space to get a new voice for these characters

Always wanted to hear more!

I loved how the story moved with dialogue and action and how the narrator moved with the story and brought out each character and scene. I've listened to other works performed by Lyric and her narration is a pleasure to listen to. I can't wait for more of this story and more of her voice. it was like watching a movie with a very sexy soundtrack

Lovely

A story of woman doing what she must to survive a life of hell. Thank you for making this adventure so meaningful to me. You're voice made me feel as if the young woman was here in front of me telling me her story her self.
Great Job on your story telling. Is worth the price to me.

DNF

Couldn't get into the story line due to the narrator. It also jumps around from different view points a lot which made it difficult to get into the story.

My dark obsession

I seem to have an affinity for stories with dark overtones. I am definitely a fan of Biker MCs. This one was just as dark as some of the rest. Tori has been through it all and this story may contain triggers for some. It contains violence, rape, and vengeance.

We go through this dark adventure with Tori who has been damaged by everything she has been subjected to. It is a hard listen for those who cannot handle the darkness of all that Tori has experienced in her life. But this story is told in such a way that you cannot help but be engrossed throughout the whole book.

I want to say I enjoyed reading it. I don't think that's a proper word for what I felt as I read/listened to this novel. I would say I was more enthralled with the story. Much like those TV movies you watch on Lifetime where the main character has been through so much. It is difficult to sit through but you cannot help but wonder what is going to happen next.

I do not think I have heard this narrator, Lyric, before. However, even though I think her voice was great for Tori that portrayed the vulnerability of her youth as well as a little bit of strength. I do believe that this story would have been even better with both Lyric and a male narrator. At any rate, it did not detract from the story and is a great listen.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

She brings Vengeance !!!

I read the book a few years ago and It was fantastic to see them now on audio. I love this story, Tori is one very damaged female but she finally gets her revenge on those who have hurt her. Eli is suppose to protect her but his feelings are going in another direction wrong or right? Well I guess we will learn more in the next stories. The narrator does a wonderful job in bringing this story to life. She is well spoken, and very clear to understand which always makes an audible so much better.

Graphic

Awful and hard to finish tale of a young girl who is raised in a motorcycle gang. She recounts her rapes and forced abortion. Although everyone tells her at most she's 15 she is treated much older by others and an FBI agent whom she starts a sexual relationship with. Disgusting book, I wish I never found it.

no words....

This literally was one of the hardest books I've listened to, but not in a bad way at all. I mean it's just so raw, so emotional and just makes you shiver with what happens. It's one that really will tear your heart out, make you think and then again still shatter your beliefs in the world.

I really commend both the narrator and writer for taking on this story. I don't think many would have carried on with it, or gone into the details. But, in one way it also allows us to see how just awful and heartbreaking the world around us might be. This is one story that I can almost believe is 100% true.

What also made it stick was the character voice of the narrator, Lyric did an amazing job of emotion, hurt, pain, fear. Everything was just as you'd imagine, and put you right there in that room, and with Tori.

Excellent story and narration, though hard on the ears... it's something that will make you feel everything and take you on a journey of slight healing....

Will be watching out for more from these two a really good partnership.
