Publisher's Summary

Jace

When Sinful Seduction made it big, my life changed, and not always in awesome ways. The groupies were great at first, until one decided to fake a pregnancy and claim the kid was mine. My bandmates had my back, and while the woman backed down fast when I demanded a paternity test, it still shook me. I knew it was time for another change, one where I kept my pants zipped. And then I saw her across the bar...the goddess with golden waves, and her sexy little librarian outfit. I knew she was different, and I wanted to make her mine. Should have known better than to get drunk in Vegas. You know how they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Bullshit. Total and complete bullshit. But maybe this time, my mistake will turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.

Honey

I dumped my cheating fiancée, hopped a plane to Vegas, and hit the latest writer’s convention. On what should have been my wedding day, I was throwing back drinks like they were fruit punch. To be fair, they probably had fruit punch in them. When I woke up the next morning with a hard body pressed to mine, and a silver band on a very important finger, I thought I’d screwed up more than ever before. Imagine my surprise when the wannabe rocker I married turned out to be even more famous than me - and wait for it - he wanted to stay married! Even with a battered heart, I still believed in happily-ever-after, but what could a rock star and a romance author have in common?

Chemistry.... Intense, curl-your-toes, melt-your-panties chemistry. Relationships have been based on worse, right?

Warning: If you don’t like foul-mouthed bad boys, lots of hot sex, and an accidental marriage, then you should probably skip this book.

Can't Get Enough!

I so enjoyed this story. I loved the characters! The narrator is not my favorite but I love how this story develops. This is pretty much an instant love story about Honey and Jace. Jace is a rock star that has just gotten over a paternity scare and potential lawsuit. His is a player and finally decides he is done with that lifestyle. After passing up on the after concert norm he heads to a bar. He sees and meets the beautiful and stunning Honey. She has a bit of a different story. She is an erotic writer who has just found out her brides made is having an affair with her fiancé. The attraction is instant. Keeping Vegas true to it's reputation; they end up drinking to much and married. This is a good story that I enjoyed every bit of it. I just wish that I the writer hadn't left us hanging on how his band came out in the end. Especially after what they did.

Bad Boy Band Member

Sweet story about a bad boy without a care making changes to his image and falling in love! I enjoyed the story, but it did leave a few questions unanswered like why did one of the band members hate the h in the story and whatever happened to the bad after the H left. It would've been great if the story included those answers. I would still recommend this story.

Bubblegum Rings

Jace and Honey have an interesting start with their drunken marriage in Vegas. And then there is the morning after! LOL!

This is undoubtedly a steamy number, seriously steamy, with some really cute moments that I liked. The one thing I wasn't fond of was what happened with the band toward the end. A second epilogue that covered a "Where Are They Now" kind of moment would've been nice.

I listened to an author gifted copy of this book. Setting aside the mispronunciation of Bellagio (hotel / casino in Vegas), the narrator, Celia M Lake, did a decent job as the sole narrator.

great, short, erotic romance

A very well written and narrated, short erotic romance. I loved that while this was a short listen it was full of content. Lots of steamy scenes but a definite storyline with good flow and great characters that captivated from the start. Jase is a famous rock star known for his player ways - on and off stage. Honey is an erotic romance author (love this) and has some self esteem issues she's overcoming as her fiancé cheated on her. Both are just looking to sooth themselves with a few drinks when they meet and well - some best ideas come from drunken minds - right?!? Instant lust / love romance with chemistry and a beautiful HEA. Narration was perfectly done - overall a great story!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Delightful!

Jace and his bandmates have hit it big and, at first, the sex, drugs and rock 'n roll were everywhere. A scorned groupie accused Jace of fathering her child and he demanded a paternity test. Relieved that it was negative, he was furious and swore off groupies for good! That's before he wandered into the Vegas hotel where the band was staying and spotted a beautiful young lady who, amazingly, didn't have any idea who he was. In a surprising move, he told her (didn't ask!) that he was going to marry her. Honey is an author with many published books and she's in Las Vegas for a writer's convention. She arrived a little early because she dumped her cheating fiancé and left town on the first flight. She's attracted to Jace, his personality and his looks, and when he says they're going to get married, she figures why not! Waking up in the morning beside each other in bed, and with rings on their fingers, Jace suggests that they stay married and try it for a year. If they still want to stay married, they can make it permanent. Jace is the perfect rock star/boyfriend and he's so patient when Honey doubts herself. Their love grows day by day, but they have to keep it a secret in case Jace's fans decide to retaliate. Their hand is forced when they realize someone has outed them and that's where it gets interesting with his bandmates. Honey is there to support him in whatever decision he makes, and their future becomes even brighter. I love this story and it's a feel-good all the way through. Even with any problem that arises, Jace and Honey handle it as a couple. This has the sweetest HEA that I've read in a long time.
Celia M. Lake does a beautiful job with the narration. Her voice is clear, dynamic and well-modulated in bringing every character to life with a distinct attitude and personality.

Good narrators, okay book. Not much of a plot.

“Sparks we have plenty of—everything else we can figure out later.” ← pretty much sums this book up. :)

My first read/listen of this author … it starts out generic enough, much like every other contemporary romance novel I’ve ever read, with instant attraction, set-up for drama, etc. It wastes no time bragging of “9 inches” so I can’t help but think it’s a bit cheesy. This isn’t helped by the FMC going by ‘Honey’ and the MMC’s cheesy pickup lines.

Still, although cheesy, it does manage to be mildly entertaining so I hung in there.

There are plenty of steamy scenes, and I did have to suspect what I believe to be reality for parts of them but … if you’re into steamy books with little/weak plots, you’ll likely enjoy this.
Or if you want some light, mindless reading while you work, etc., this could serve you well.

For me … I thought it was okay.
3 stars.

Short Steamy Romance

This was such a sweet, steamy, quick romance. I loved it! A rockstar accidentally marries an erotic romance author, how cute is that! This story was a quick, steamy listen and made you swoon for Jace. It was so sweet how he quickly fell for Honey and how protective he was about her. I wished it would have been longer and gotten more scenes about how they managed their relationship with the crazy fans. Celia M. Lake was wonderful narrator and did a great job with all the voices. I would definitely recommend this if your are in the mood for a sweet, smutty rockstar romance.

Rock and roll arranged wedding

The narrator was okay.

I think the storyline had something there, but it wasn't long enough to flesh it out. I also didn't find their story as believable until near the end (which is why I think it needed to be longer). I didn't understand why the band kicked him out, and honey just accepted everything as is all the time. Very meek in this story.

The Bones Are Here

I received an advance audio review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was my first book by Harley Wilde. While the story wasn't bad, I think it could definitely improve with a rewrite. Jace is referred to as a bad boy of the band who due to a baby scare is reformed. He spots Honey in a bar in Vegas. She has a refinement that he is looking for in his next woman. They drunkenly marry and decide to stay together. Honey is a successful, contemporary erotic romance novelist. She is very straight laced looking but on paper she is quite wild. I have no proof of her writing skills other than her and her manager saying she has fans and is successful.

I feel like a lot of the plot is given to us in a few words rather than showing us in action. Nothing in Jace actions comes off as even remotely sort of bad boy. While in bed we are given descriptive scenes but when the couple is not doing the deed, they are pretty boring.

Just what is the name of the band? In the blurb it is Sinful Seduction but in the audio it is Fierce Seduction. The band is supportive (except Simon) of Jace's marriage but then they are not. It feels out of the blue without a lot of conversation or history. Honey's and Jace's managers are at a meeting with the couple. Jace is at odds with him before we even get into the meeting and fires the manager for himself and the band. Both the band and the manager are quickly written out of the story. Fitting for the manager but the band, no.

Other than what we are told about Honey (and that isn't much) I don't feel like I know the character. My last gripe is the choice for the narrator. I realize hiring a male and female voice is probably very expensive but if the chosen narrator is a single sex reading both parts I should still be able to immediately know which character is speaking. With Celia M. Lake as narrator I often wasn't sure.

I can see parts of the book that show me Harley Wilde can write a great story. Can't Get Enough just doesn't feel like it is ready for publication.
