“Follow leads, find clues, and interrogate suspects in this intricately crafted page-turner! Will you make the right calls and catch the culprit, or will they slip through your fingers?” —G. T. Karber, author of Murdle

One murder. Six suspects. One truth for YOU to uncover.

YOU are the lead detective and it's your job to investigate the most mysterious crime of your career.

There’s been a murder at Elysium, a wellness retreat set in an English country manor. You arrive to find the body of a local businessman on the lawn – with a rose placed in his mouth. It appears he was stabbed with a gardening fork and fell to his death from the balcony above. You quickly realize that balcony can only be accessed through a locked door, the key is missing, and everyone in Elysium is now a suspect… Who did it and why? It’s up to you to figure it out.

YOU gather the evidence and examine the clues.

YOU choose who to interview next, and who to accuse as your prime suspect.

But remember that every decision YOU make has consequences – and some of them will prove fatal…

Do you have what it takes? Can YOU solve the murder? Put your sleuthing skills to the test!

* This audiobook edition includes a downloadable PDF that may also contain clues. You, as the detective, must figure out what you want to do.

Don't worry, no spoilers here. I will say the answer to the title question is "no" in my case.
I love this book - should say that too. More on that below.

This book is a combination of "choose your own adventure" combined with a clever clue tracking system plus a few puzzles.

1) The choose your own adventure part is straightforward. 200 tracks. As you finish, it will say "go to track 74" or "if you want to do X go to track 74, if you want to do Y go to track 136".

2) The clue tracking - as you go, you get clues. "Write C2 in your notebook". This serves 2 purposes. First, it might say "if you have C2 go to track 74, otherwise go to track 136". Even if you GUESS the murderer right, if you do not have the right clue (evidence) you might not SOLVE the murder. Second, the clues are used at the end for scoring.

3) The puzzles are in the accompanying pdf. It will tell you when to look at them. Also, in the pdf is the end of book scoring, so don't just read the thing.

OVERALL
As for the experience, it was fantastic. The writing was great, and if it were just a straight up mystery novel I would have still given it 5 stars or at least 4 (hard to say). But, the immersive experience made it so much better. I literally had to stop and think hard about my next move several times. Also, I have no idea how the author got so much into only 200 tracks. Early, I thought 'I must be about halfway through already', but I was more like 20%. I mean this in a good way because it made the mystery that much deeper the more I learned.
