Matt Simpson hates school. He has never liked it. Not elementary, not middle, and certainly not high school. All he hears is read this, learn that, do this, memorize that. And the older he gets, the more work he has to do. He would much rather be at home watching his favorite alien movies instead. At least he doesn’t get tested on those.

Now he just found out that his favorite teacher is going to be out sick for a while, and a new substitute will be taking over. Matt’s willing to give him a chance, but the new guy is a little weird. He has an odd look about him, not to mention the smell. Then there are the strange noises he makes when he walks, and the weird looks he gives the class hamster. And who knows what he puts in his lunch box.

Matt insists that something isn’t quite right here. Then one day after school he finally realizes the truth. His new teacher isn’t from around here. In fact, he’s not even from the same galaxy.
