Publisher's summary

Far too many people in contemporary culture feel they don't have enough time to "get it all done". The stress of this chronic overwhelm creates a disorganized mind that leads to a chaotic life. Based on her highly acclaimed "Energy Management" workshops and drawn from over 25 years of counseling and coaching experience, professional trainer and speaker Jackie Woodside shares her breakthrough methods that lead to becoming the least stressed, most productive person you know!

In Calming the Chaos, you'll learn the step-by-step skills and thought processes that lead to increased productivity and peace of mind. Jackie's approach stems from the new frontier of human performance called energetic consciousness. Part philosophy, part psychology, fully practical application, you'll learn:

  • Why there's no such thing as time management and what to do instead
  • How to manage your energy instead of your time and stress
  • The three-step formula for managing every component of your life for the rest of your life
  • Why "to-do lists" are a set up for failure and what really works
  • "The Three Strikes Rule" that'll end procrastination for good
  • How to always know that you have the time for what you want and need to do

Many books promise to change your life. Applying these principles will make this a reality!

Life-changing!

Read this if you want to be a better version of yourself. I read this already 5 years ago when I was younger and despite challenges at that time, it still gave me insights. Now that I'm older and more emotionally mature, I'm ready to live a more intentional life through managing my energy. Thanks, Jackie!

Awesome audiobook !!!

What did you love best about Calming the Chaos?

I work as an online entrepreneur and sometimes it can be very stressful and overwhelming. I struggle to be more efficient, but because of it, I often don't sleep good and can't relax. Thanks to this audiobook I learned some new ways on how to manage my energy instead of my time, and how to be more productive both in my work and in my life. This is one innovative approach that I couldn't find anywhere else, and I've read many similar books in the past. This audiobook is worth re-listening and I highly recommend it!

Destined to be a Classic

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would recommend this work to anyone who desires to get the most out of their life and time while building the energy to "Do It". This book has the key....

What was one of the most memorable moments of Calming the Chaos?

While the title adequately describes the general goal of the knowledge and techniques within, no single title could really encompass the creative and inspired combination of data from well referenced sources with the writer's own experience of over 30 years applying her methods in the field, plus plain old common sense. Research data and case histories are presented in an interesting and entertaining way, and application methods are included and specific, making them easy to use. The author feels knowledge must be applied to make any change, I believe some of the knowledge conveyed in this work is so perspective altering as to make application automatic.

Which scene was your favorite?

One of the most impressive and enlightening items in the book is the author's combination and condensation of Dr. David Hawkins' 17 level model of consciousness experiences with Dr. Bruce Schneider's 7 level model, creating a simpler and more easily understood 4 level model, making it much easier to integrate and employ.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I think this work is the perfect bridge between Tolle's "Power of Now" and Covey's "7 Habits...". I sincerely believe this book will change lives.

Any additional comments?

If using your time consciousness most productively in important to you, this book will give you the theory and practice to accomplish that goal.

whiney narrator

I wasn't able to finish this book. In fact, I only got a little way into it before I had to stop. The narrator really bugged me, I felt like she was just whining.
