Publisher's summary

"Stand absolutely still, Amanda," she read, "and you won't get hurt." Two seconds later a bullet from a sniper's rifle shattered the driver's side window of her Lexus SUV.

That's how it began, early on a Friday morning when Amanda, Harry's wife, found the note tucked under her windshield wiper. The incident was quickly followed by a series of events that would put his family and friends in deadly danger and test Harry to his limits.

Harry Starke stories never let you down!

Just when you think the “Harry” stories can’t get any better another great new read comes along.
Harry has never had a fight on his hands like this one, someone wants him dead, but that someone wants to play games.
Once again, all the team are pulling for Harry, but there isn’t much they can do to help him, Harry does everything he can to keep them out of the way because he knows what will happen to them if they interfere in this battle of wits.

The thing is, Harry thinks he knows who wants him dead but he doesn’t know who is trying to do the deed. This adds to the excitement, which, in this story, gets quite intense.
Brilliantly entertaining Five star story, Highly recommended.

Narrated by Tom Lennon, who yet again makes Harry and the team come alive. Each time I listen to a new Harry Starke book I am reminded yet again of how lucky we are that someone chose Tom to narrate this series.

This one is very intense

I love all of Howard's Harry Starke books. If he writes anything else I don't know and don't care.

This one is probably the most intense. Violence is not a big part of most of the others and it is all this one revolves around. Even though the climax is kind of predictable you still want to cheer when it arrives.

Once again Tom Lennon does a terrific job.

A well-written story from a very good author

Calaway Jones (Harry Starke #10), my thirty-second read from author Blair Howard. Well-written and enjoyable, edge-of-your-seat fiction. This time Harry's on his own, no spoilers from me, you'll have to read what may be Howard's best work. I look forward to his next book no matter the main character. Narrator Tom Lennon's narration has been perfect over the Harry Starke books. Next up is EMOJI: The Harry Starke Novels, Book 11. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Excellent

Good narration by Tom Lennon brought the story out, having a good voice to listen too-...given audio for my voluntary review
CALAWAY. JONES. by Blair Howard. I love all of his books, and this is another winner. Even in prison Harper, is out for revenge, calling in Shady to get a job done. First has to be mental anguish for Harry, and wife Amanda, before killing. Harry has his job cut out for him, to keep family safe and find the assassin. The plot flows, characters you will love. Each can be read separately.

Harry vs. Mossad

Little Billy, Harry's archenemy who he put away for 25 years-to-life, hires an ex-Mossad agent to murder Harry, painfully. But first, she is to harass his friends and kill his wife, Amanda. Calaway Jones is up to all those tasks, easily. One harrowing experience after another has Harry chasing his own tail to find and catch his assailant. In the end, Calaway is too much for Harry, but can his friends save him? Best Harry Yet!

An assassin vs a detective

Calaway Jones is an action packed adventure with Detective Harry Starke and his friends in a race to find an assassin before she takes them out. It’s a good, action packed story, but the assassin didn’t quite ring true for me. She was too sure of herself and made too many mistakes.

Contains violence and mild sexual content. This series is best suited for adult audiences.

The narrator of the audiobook is the same narrator as the rest of the books in the series. He does a good job.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.
