short & sweet

I really liked the plot of the story. The big bad biker swoops in and saves the heroine from her past. It was short and sweet. I'm not normally a fan of short books or quick to love books but this one just flowed. The narrator did an excellent job portraying the story. She voiced both male and female voices well. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An entertaining listen.

I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin.
Cain is the second book I've listened to in this series. The narrator, again, here, did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. The book is only 61 pages long, but she read it in a little over 2 hours. Lots of expression and pauses. 5 stars. Well done.

Now, the story is a little shallow and not very believable. It does touch your heartstrings and you want to see Angel and the kids find safety and love. There is violence and triggers. A short entertaining read. 3.5 stars.

Great Series Starter

This series starter kept me entertained from start to finish thanks to the endearing characters. Ada Sinclair brought this story to life and made it a fun listen.

Excellent Story

She was hiding from one MC and working as a teacher for another. Angel was only looking for a job to hold her over until the next school year so she could get a job with a school system. When she took on the job as teacher for three kids in a MC, she never expected that she and the President would become involve. Cain on the other hand never though that he would find love, but Angel Black proved him wrong. When the Kiss of Death MC came calling for the kids and Angel will Cain and his brothers keep them safe from danger?

Fast moving MC Romance

Narration: Narrator was clear and easy to understand. Accents were good. Would have been better with dual narration.

The story was short, but enjoyable. I like a fairly short book to put on whilst I do household chores and can finish in one long session. A lot of action was packed into two and a half hours. Exposition was well done and subtle. Hero and heroine are likable. Instalove was a little bit unbelievable but, then, it’s instalove, so…. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes MC romance. I’ll definitely be reading more of the series. I received a copy of this audiobook for free and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

the narrator did a really good job portraying the characters as she read the story for all to listen. The story was good too. It has a protective biker that falls hard for a young woman that's in trouble with an evil biker club and 3 children that is also being protected. The young woman is protective of the children but finds the biker president Cain very attractive and falls in love with him. I enjoyed this book.

Cain

Cain is a relatively short MC romance between Cain and Angel. There is a good mix of danger, suspense, and romance in this story. It held my attention from beginning to end. I think it was a good beginning to what I believe will be an interesting MC series. I look forward to listening to more of Bones MC. Ada Sinclair did an excellent job bringing this story to life.

Caine and Angel

Marteeka Karland’s Bones MC series is the first MC series I have read/listened to. It certainly has whetted my appetite for more. Cain is the club President, and a bad ass. Angel is a recent college graduate (or will be soon) and needs a job to hold her over. All she can find is a homeschool teacher position for the MC’s three teens. Those kids’ story is heartbreaking, and Angel is very protective of them. She is spunky and willing to fight her own demons to keep those kids safe. Angel was drugged and raped at the hands of another MC, and could rightly avoid all MCs at all cost. (I appreciate that Angel did not fall to pieces over her experience with the other MC. She actually reacted the way women I know have reacted to drugged/rape situations.) Cain falls for Angel, but tries to deny it. Instalove is sweet. In this book your introduced to many characters who further evolve as the series develops. Love Mama and Pops. The narrator is great. I love the voices; she is a joy to listen to.

Cain needs an expletive thesaurus 😳

Somewhat improbable setup but a good & fast-paced story. It is an age gap motorcycle grump with the good girl in school uniform tights, but sometimes that’s what you need to help your spirits sing.

Good Contemporary Romance

This is a short and sweet MC contemporary romance. I was not familiar with this author but I’m glad I decided to give this story a try. The main characters are likable and interesting. I loved how protective Angel was of the 3 children. It was so nice to see a MC taking in some young people under their wings.

Narration was good and brought the story to life.

There was an instant conflict between Cain and Angel. Their relationship went from dislike to love very quickly. I wish we could have had more time to see their relationship blossom. The story progressed at a quick pace and before I realized it was wrapping up. The story kept me engaged from beginning to conclusion.
