Publisher's Summary

One summer. One touch....

Cadence Riley didn’t have time for boys - no matter how potent their smiles were. School and working at Camp Riley were her only priorities. She knew better than to fall for someone like Fitz Quinn, the spoiled, bad boy son of a wealthy politician. But the second he spoke to her, she knew she was in over her head. He was a gorgeous trouble maker with a cocky attitude. Her heart warned her, but she didn’t listen. There was something protective and good beneath the bad boy exterior that made her insides flutter. Before she knew it, she fell hard and fast.

Fitz wasn’t prepared to meet a girl like Cadence. She was shy and innocent - and nothing like the girls who usually flocked his doorstep. How could he resist her mile-long blond hair and emerald eyes? He knew he shouldn’t want her. His father already had other plans for him, and a relationship with her could never go beyond the summer. He thought their stolen kisses by the lake were only supposed to be a summer fling. Falling for her shouldn’t have happened. But it did.

Now the clock is counting down until Fitz has to return to the life that awaits him in Washington, DC. As September draws closer, how will they survive the end of everything they’ve come to love?

Not in anyway what I expected!!!

It was so much more! The bombs that were dropped in this book came out of no where! I though I knew what was going to happen but my thoughts were squashed into the ground with fury! I was completely blindsided and even though I was a bit "ragey" at the time, I now loved every minute of it. The wait for book 2 is going to kill me but it will all be worth it to find out what happens between Fitz and Cadence!

The narration is amazing! Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber make a great team!

Summer Lovin’

Going in to a book knowing that it’s a duet is always a danger, but Dakota Willink didn’t disappoint in the slightest. Cadence was supposed to be spending a quiet summer. She has her schooling and the camp to fill her plate, but fate has other ideas in the form of Fitz Quinn. Fitz should be hands off with his penance for finding trouble. She finds it impossible to ignore his charms, protective tendencies, and hidden good soul. Fitz has a path that had been drawn up for him before he even had a chance to want anything else. He knows he should avoid the sweet and innocent Cadence Riley and just put in his time at the camp without a scandal. He finds himself irrevocable drawn to her even knowing it can never be more than a summer fling. Their life and love may be fleeting together, but there are just something’s worth the inevitable heart ache.

Narration- Lacy and Zachary brought these two to life. Get ready for chills as they bring to the surface all the feels that are so prevalent in this story.

Sooo Good!

Let me start by saying it took me several days to get my head around this book and be prepared to write my thoughts. From the beginning of the book, I had an idea of where the book was going to end but Dakota never failed to leave me guessing. I had a love-hate relationship with this book - don't get me wrong, I loved it! But I was so frustrated at times for the characters. I have so many parts of this book that stuck with me. I find myself recalling them and getting emotional all over again. The characters were easy to connect with yet so complex. I loved the chemistry and dynamic that Dakota gave us. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone so I will just say, I loved it and I hated it! But- Book 2 will be out in just a few weeks - which is perfect as I need some processing time. Can't wait to continue this amazing story.

Narration was fantastic. Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber gave amazing performances. They were a pleasure to listen to and really brought the characters to life. Loved it!

I love Cadence!

Ok. This story.. was a wonderful listen! Cadence is deep and very level headed. She knows what she wants and goes after it! I was not sure about Fitz at first.... he made me question. I was so anxious for the story, and anxious to find out what happens, and... you’ll have to read or listen to find out what happens. I will tell you, it’s worth it!

Great Read

Cadence Untouched was a great read by Dakota Willink. Cadence goes to school and working at her parents camp. She needs to keep her priorities straight which doesn't include falling for Fitz. They only have one summer together but will that be enough for them. I loved reading Cadence and Fitz's story and loved how Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber narrated them.

Just when I thought I knew what was happening

Dakota Willink is a new author to me and although I have listened to narrator Zachary Webber numerous times, Lacey Laurel is relatively new to me. Cadence Untouched was certainly brought to life by the narrators who did a fantastic job.
This book was not like I expected; just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, boom I am thrown totally for a loop.
Despite herself Cadence Riley finds herself falling for bad boy Fitz Quinn and he is equally attracted to her even though they both know that it can only be temporary,
This book was not like I expected; just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, boom I am thrown totally for a loop. I really cannot wait to find out what happens in the second book.

Breaking my Heart

This is my first book from Dakota and it was so good! I didn’t realize it was a duet and now I need book two to see how it ends!! I do think however the heroine is very naïve and annoying at times and the heroine ticked me off a few times but overall you can feel the connection between these two and that is awesome. The twists and turns were so unexpected and I felt heartbroken for them.. I cant wait to see how life ends up for these two!
The narration is really good. As always ZW delivers on every single emotion! This is my first for lacy, it took a bit getting used to but she grew on me.

Cadence and Fitz!

Cadence is 18 and attends college but she spends the summer helping out her parents at the performing/creative arts camp that they run each summer.

Fitz is 22 and he and his friend Devon are obligated to help out at the camp during the summer. Due to a tragic mistake in his past his life will be changing dramatically when he returns home in the fall.

Cadence is attracted to Fitz, but she believes him to be arrogant and entitled. As they spend time together, she realizes that there is much more to Fitz than she believed and they fall in love. Even though this is the happiest they have ever been they know that the summer is all they can have but will they be able to handle the changes that they are both about to face in their lives?

This is an emotional story about love and trying to do what is best for each other. It does end on a cliff hanger and I am looking forward to more of Fitz and Cadence. I thought the narrators did a great job of bringing the story to life. You could feel the emotions and angst that the characters were feeling.

Woah, super happy with this story!

My interest in this story came from word of mouth. I saw it all over my FB groups and friends pages. Everyone was raving about this story. I have a definite weakness for bad boys... don't we all, especially when our good girl vibe is strong. Mine is strong and the love for bad boys is even stronger. Fitz checks all those bad boy boxes and his attitude is off the charts. I really enjoyed watching Fitz find himself, to learn and grow up a bit. Cadence was a delight in herself. She's mature and driven and knows with one glance that Fitz is NOT a good idea for her.

The narrators were fabulous together. Lacy has this really upbeat and happy sounding. The mix of her voice and Zachary Webber's was a fantastic. Unlike Lacy's voice, his is deep and strong. They sound so well together. Very pleasant to listen to. I can't wait for part 2 of this story!

opposites attract

Fair warning...this is book 1 of a duet, so you need book 2 to get the rest of the story.
College student Cadence Riley spends her summers working at her family's art camp. This summer, college grad Fitz Quinn is the typical rich kid...he's condescending, a playboy and just all around obnoxious. In lieu of a prison sentence for one of his recent shenanigans, Fitz is sentenced to community service at Camp Riley for the summer. When Cadenence and Fitz first meet, she sees the spoiled kid who just needs attention...Fitz sees a challenge. Eventually the duo become friends and maybe more. Remember that I said this is a duet? There's no HEA for now...I look forward to reading/listening to the rest of Cadence and Fitz's story.
I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG best cliffhanger ever

Two people by chance find romance in the most unlikely place. One is destined to marry another woman, and the other gives away her innocence. When they finally part ways she finds out she is pregnant. Will they ever get together? Can’t wait for book two to come out.

5 Stars!

Omg, this was such a great opening to the beginning of the Cadence Duet! While, I did find it to be predictable (on some things), it was still fun to listen to how the story plays out to the end. This will definitely make you run to get the next book to see how it all plays out. Zachary and Lacy did a great job narrating.

Cadence Untouched

This story is amazing, aggravating, heartbreaking and loving all at once! These two people found each other by chance because of very sad circumstances that have you feeling pain right along with them. The twists close to the end that explained so much was absolutely heart wrenching. And the ending!!! I need the next book like now!
Narration was fantastic which made this book a perfect combination of written and voice perfection

Her first love, and she said no regret!

Dakota Willink gave the right title to this book Cadence Untouched.
I would describe Cadence as innocent, naive, but determined, driven and self confident till she meet Fitz Quinn, at her parents summer camp. She saw him as a bad boy, with a chip on his shoulder. He saw her, knew better but couldn’t resist. What started as young love, puppy love went beyond and he knew, there love couldn’t be, but kept his secret anyway, till a few days before he was to backup and leave.
A line that stood out in my mind was made by Cadence “I have no regrets, and I’m going to keep it that way”.
Audiobook Obsession gave me this audible book for a fair and honest review, Thank you and, Dakota Willink. Also Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber your narration was fantastic.

I really enjoyed following the love story of Cadence and Fitz. This is a beautiful forbidden love story. Dakota Willink did an excellent job of building relatable characters. She also did a great job of pulling you in and leaving you guessing on a few things! I recommend this book to anyone who like a beautiful love story that may or may not have a happy ending you will have to read it to find out, I can't wait to get my hands on Cadence Defined! Zachary Webber and Lacy Laurel did an excellent job of bringing this book to life for me!

No words !

I don't know how to put this review into words , I loved this story , Fitz is made to help out at a summer camp for a bad mistake he made , he seemed a bit cocky at first but was soon showing his sweet side , Zachary Webber really narrated his character well

Candace was a sweet niave girl who was really brought to life by Lacy Laurel

the story was written brilliantly and even tho I kind of guessed what would happen at the end it didn't take away from how much I loved the story

can't wait for book 2 !

A powerful love story

Cadence is a strong young woman that did have a great opinion about Fitz when they first met. She believed him to be a spoiled little rich kid even though he was older than her. Fitz was determined to have her and he broke through her walls and his own walls at the same time. There love was beautiful until it wasn't. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Zachary Webber and Lacy Laurel did a wonderful job again. Love this book. Can't wait for part 2. This is a must have!
