COVID-19 and the Impact on End-of-Life Decisions & Palliative Care

  • Summary

  • Facilitated by Ellen Dalton, Medecision’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, and our special guest, Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider, this episode explores how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting and changing end-of-life decisions, patient and care team dynamics, palliative care choices, and grief and mourning.

Dr. Ungerleider is an internal medicine physician focused largely on improving the end-of-life experience for patients and their families, as well as increasing access to communications skills training for clinicians.  She is the founder of the End Well Project, a multidisciplinary community that unites design, technology, health policy, and activist initiatives to create a cultural shift in how we think about end of life.
