hard to follow all the families and names .

one chapter was nothing but going over names and familes. a little hard to follow at times.

Good book - awful reader

What did you like best about By Royal Decree? What did you like least?

I love stories about the royal court of Henry XIII.
This reader is terrible.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kate Emerson? Why or why not?

Yes, I would read her again.

What didn’t you like about Alison Larkin’s performance?

This reader uses a weak and simpering voice for all of the characters both male an female. I feel like I am listening to an adult read a children's story.

If you are interested in this book, and it is a very good story, I suggest you listen to a sample of the reader. I probably would have chosen to read it myself rather than listen.
