enjoyed the main character

I didn’t read the first of this series, but was able to follow along as I believe each in this series works as a stand-alone story. I had trouble getting into the story because the voice narration was so sing-songy, more like for telling a children’s story, but I listened through and ended up enjoying the story, nonetheless. I was able to connect with Betti as the main character, someone who fumbles things from time to time. A great cozy!

Really loved this story. Great clean story. No junk. Great narration. Can’t wait to read/listen to more in the series.

Cute Who-Done-It

What a great pairing of writer, Bee Littlefield, and narrator, Arielle Noelle. I can't wait for more from this team. This is such a cute, cozy mystery and I loved the twist at the end. I wish there had been more of Betti and Nico together, but instead it was more about Betti solving the mystery and getting her life together. I have really loved this series and hope for more quirkiness from this team. Arielle Noelle is very talented at differentiating between all the voiced characters, and Bee Littlefield writes very funny stories. You go, girls!

Fun and Quirky

This is the second book in the series, and it's just as fun as the first book. Betti recognizes the murder victim but doesn't tell the police who he is and decides to investigate on her own as to what happened. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so that's all I'll say. This story is both fun and quirky.
