Story
What makes a romance novel a romance? Writing a well-structured romance isn't the same as writing any other genre - something the popular novel and screenwriting guides don't address. The romance arc is made up of its own story beats. Told in conversational (and often irreverent) prose, Romancing the Beat is like sitting down to coffee with romance editor and author Gwen Hayes while she explains story structure - the way she does with her clients, some of whom are regular inhabitants of the best-seller lists.

To the point.
It gets right to the point in the 1st few lines. Another thing I liked about it was that the writer touches on perfectionism and how it prevents many from writing. Many of the tips apply to all forms, and some are geared specifically for erotica. Overall, a concise and useful listen.

Great advice!
Overall the quality of the advice seems sound. The reading seemed a bit quick and went from point-to-Point a little too quickly, especially when citing websites. However, the subject matter brought up points I had never thought of before. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to dive into the erotica genre.

More of a pep talk than a guide.
It is short, to the point, and runs more like a cross between a pep talk and the cover text of an actual guide.
Ok for the price, and probably useful to listen to on occasion.

Succinct Yets Extremely Informative
Wow! This was exactly what I needed today! I set out to learn more about how to realize my dream of making a living doing what I love, thinking about and writing erotica. This book really lays out steps that I can begin to take TODAY, to realize that dream. The author also offers help to fledgling writers by providing an honest critique service for their manuscripts. A service that I will no doubt take advantage of. If you have the desire to write for publication, no matter what your genre, you owe it to yourself to pick up this brief volume. And at such an affordable price, you will not regret it.

Basically a free blog post you're paying for
Google "top 50 ways to get motivated/be productive/stay focused" etc and then copy the texts from the top ranking posts and you will basically have all the generic info included in this "book."
I'm not saying the author isn't knowledgeable but I felt as if the writer was just throwing out a bunch of ideas, hoping one would stick with the reader. I was hoping to learn how craft erotic genre stories/novels...not be told to find a partner to get busy with.

Nothing about romance or erotica, glad it was free
I got this as part of a packaged romance writing link. It's pretty lame, and childish at best... actually, it's pretty damned stupid! :-(
There nothing substantial whatsoever about writing romance or erotica, glad it was cheap.

Title is misleading
The content of the piece had nothing to do with writing erotica. Instead it was a list of 50 ways to improve one's creativity and self promotion.

Very little to do about writing erotica
This is so general about writing that it's a waste of time when dealing with erotica. I couldn't even finish when they started listing all their "tips".
