Publisher's Summary

Running a successful landscape contractor company is a juggling act. You need expertise in your area of landscaping to provide services to clients. You also need the know-how to run a small business. You have probably been well-prepared by your education and experience for the technical ins and outs of running a landscape contracting company. Yet what training has prepared you to run a business?

This book is two things: the product of my lifelong work conceiving, developing, and growing the E-Myth way into a business model that has been applied to every imaginable kind of company in the world, as well as a product of Tony's extraordinary experience and success in applying the E-Myth to the development of his equally extraordinary enterprise, Super Lawn Technologies, Inc.

A worthy read

Which scene was your favorite?

Tony Bass sections were great,

Any additional comments?

"Michael E Gerber" was said about 6000 times. Other that that, the content was very good. My next read will be E Myth Revisited.

necessity if you own a landscape company

The best book I have found to date on basics of entrepreneurship. This book does not have a do this step 123 but gives you the road map to create your own step 123 business! Worth every penny you spend and every hour you spend reading it or listening to it.

Shhhh, Don't Tell My Competition About This

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Only if they weren't a potential competitor. My management team on the other hand, it may become required reading.

What did you like best about this story?

The frank, no nonsense breakdown of what so many owners are doing wrong, how they get stuck, and the path towards unimpeded growth. A few hard truths had to be swallowed on this one, and I've implemented a few changes to solve some of the problems the book helped me identify.

Which scene was your favorite?

"Big Boy's" transformation from obesity through a landscaping lifestyle.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Stop doing it, doing it, doing it, realize you don't own a business, you own a job, and get real about creating a business that can run in your absence.

Any additional comments?

If you're interested in this topic, I also recommend "Critical Business Skills" from the Great Courses line, they seem to go well together.

Good, formulaic, actionable

I am a small business owner in the industry and found this to be excellent.

Learn how to go from busy and struggling to a business owner in charge of his or her future.
