Publisher's Summary

Capture and close more Internet leads with a new sales script and powerful marketing templates.

The Conversion Code provides a step-by-step blueprint for increasing sales in the modern, Internet-driven era. Today's consumers are savvy, and they have more options than ever before. Capturing their attention and turning it into revenue requires a whole new approach to marketing and sales. This book provides clear guidance toward conquering the new paradigm shift toward online lead generation and inside sales. You'll learn how to capture those invaluable Internet leads, convert them into appointments, and close more deals. Regardless of product or industry, this proven process will increase both the quantity and quality of leads and put your sales figures on the rise.

Traditional sales and marketing advice is becoming less and less relevant as today's consumers are spending much more time online, and salespeople are calling, emailing, and texting leads instead of meeting them in person. This book shows you where to find them, how to engage them, and how to position your company as the ideal solution to their needs.

  • Engage with consumers more effectively online
  • Leverage the strengths of social media, apps, and blogs to capture more leads for less money
  • Convert more Internet leads into real-world prospects and sales appointments
  • Make connections on every call and learn the exact words that close more sales

The business world is moving away from "belly-to-belly" interactions and traditional advertising. Companies are forced to engage with prospective customers first online - the vast majority through social media, mobile apps, blogs, and live chat - before ever meeting in person. Yesterday's marketing advice no longer applies to today's tech savvy, mobile-first, social media-addicted consumer, and the new sales environment demands that you meet consumers where they are and close them - quickly. The Conversion Code gives you an actionable blueprint for capturing Internet leads and turning them into customers.

WOW! By far the best sales book I have ever read!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely!

What about Chris Smith’s performance did you like?

Was great to hear the book read by the author.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Although the book is many hours long, it never felt like that. I wanted to listen to it all in one sitting because there were so many takeaways. I ended up taking notes as I listened to it. So it took me a few different sessions to hear everything.

Any additional comments?

I've been in sales for twenty-three years in automobile sales (11 years) and for the last twelve years selling luxury real estate in South Florida. I've read, listened to, attended, and spent nearly $100,000 in sales training over the last 20+ years. I can absolutely say that this sales training bible was better than anything than I have ever experienced before. Wish I could have had this in the past. I would have saved a ton of money :-).

This is Next Level Sales and Marketing Information

If you could sum up The Conversion Code in three words, what would they be?

Read, Apply, Succeed

What did you like best about this story?

In listening to the audio book I felt like Chris the author had been through a lot of the same experiences as myself. I've read more than my fair share of sales books but this one has spoken to me on a different level. I can't wait to dig in and put to work what I've learned into action.

What does Chris Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Chris Smith comes across as a guy that you could have a cup of coffee with and walk out of the meeting a lot smarter for having talked with him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, it moved my brain to think about how I can use what I've learned in my real estate sales business.

Any additional comments?

Money well spent. I have both the book and Audible download. I will be referring back to them both for a while as I fine tune the next phase of my business.

Should have listened to my gut

I have no idea where all of these positive reviews came from unless they were from brand new agents. I found that there was hardly any substance in this book whatsoever. I resisted getting it for a couple of years because I knew he was a salesman but seeing all the positive reviews, I figured what the heck. So, had hopes going in and even had my notepad out listening intently around the 2nd-3rd chapter but ultimately came out with not a single tidbit I could use.
There is an entire industry making money off of selling things to real estate agents. This is a perfect example. Save your money and go take your friends and past clients out to lunch instead.

This book is entertaining and informative

What did you love best about The Conversion Code?

I own an Art Gallery and I continue to read books about sales and marketing. This book is great! There were times I laughed at the writer's sense of humor.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Conversion Code?

Being in the social media age, I'm glad he gave tips on traditional prospecting and closing the deal.

What does Chris Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

During the audiobook, he would go off subject and talk directly to his audience. I love that. He was not robotic like other readers.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to business owners. I will continue to look for other books he has written.

On Point - Chris is real and relevant!

Would you listen to The Conversion Code again? Why?

I'm in the process of listening to it while I highlight in the book. Better than any college course I've taken.

What about Chris Smith’s performance did you like?

I like that Chris is real and hearing his back story gives him credibility.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes! We think that we need to just spend more $ on lead generation rather than focus on conversion.

Any additional comments?

Thank You for sharing your wisdom, Chris! The only thing I would emphasize more is to treat people like friends. I've always focused on the relationship first and the money naturally followed. That is why your code is so helpful. You teach us to quickly get to the conversation so we can turn the internet "lead" into a friend that we can help.

Audible version worth the wait- amazing

What made the experience of listening to The Conversion Code the most enjoyable?

Chris is captivating on a stage and amazing on audio, it made the book come to life and feel like you were in the boiler room with him.

What did you like best about this story?

It is real and practical and easily implemented.

Which scene was your favorite?

I like the beginning where Chris explains where he came from and why he is an authority on converting Internet leads.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were several and most important is the information being taught by someone other than you in your company goes a long way.

Any additional comments?

As the owner of a company, sometimes it can be easier to teach and motivate your employees when the advice comes from someone other than yourself. My sales and marketing teams LOVED The Conversion Code and the tactics Chris details. And as a company who prides itself on Internet lead generation, the specificity of the sales script was truly appreciated. We were able to implement it and make it our own immediately. Great book!

Everything Promised & More!

Would you listen to The Conversion Code again? Why?

Absolutely! This content can grow with you. Maybe you wont have time to implement everything you read, implement in stages. Maybe even over multiple times reading the book as you start implementation and understand more about what you did not the previous time you read the book. There's a lot to take in and a lot that you may need to change and you might struggle trying to do it all at once but doing the little you do understand and sowing into anything you are instructed to in this book will reap a reward.

What other book might you compare The Conversion Code to and why?

This is the first and only book of it's kind that I have read. While I am interested in looking for others, this book has already been so extremely beneficial to me and my business I am Leary that anything could actually compare to the return on investment I have received in a mere three days.

What about Chris Smith’s performance did you like?

He is well spoken, intelligent, down to earth, passionate about his subject material, enthusiatic in his delivery and concise with his instruction.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I have been beating my head on the wall when linking to my Facebook page for years and Chris gives a pro tip regarding the formation of the url when linking to your Facebook page that I never knew. Maybe it is cheesy or corny but the amount of stress that was lifted just from that pro tip opened the door to be entirely receptive of the rest of what was being said because that one little thing removed enough of my discouragement to think that maybe, just maybe with my knowledge and his advice growth on the internet was once again possible.

Any additional comments?

Chris Smith is passionate, down to earth, intelligent and has a natural skill in communication. When I purchased this book, I was depressed, defeated and looking for anything that would help attract people to my services online. <br/><br/>Working in retail sales translates a bit differently for services, but I knew in Sales Terminology what I needed online to be successful I just don't have a budget and was unsure what I could do to make a difference. That is when I found this book. <br/><br/>Starting with the First Chapter of instruction I started revamping my web content, changing the layout of my website, taking instruction from what I read. I don't even think I implemented all of the changes as they were exactly delivered but I at least put forth the effort to try what I believed I could do. Three days and my exposure on Facebook is up 3,744% and growing every time I check my insights. <br/><br/>The instruction is simple, clear, concise and if you are interested in knowing whether or not there is value in paying for this Audio book or exhausting one Audible Credit then I am here to tell you that the answer is an emphatic yes. I have never been so excited to observe my business online. Maybe it is a second wind or maybe I just needed someone with the passion for sales and marketing who truly loves customer interaction to remind me why I offer services and busted my butt so hard to become self employed in a business that focuses on customer service and satisfaction. <br/><br/>If you are looking for practical solutions to your web business (regardless of industry) if you do not have the money to pay for an in depth Social Media Marketing Campaign or hiring a group of people that will do this for you then you absolutely MUST own this book. This book is a foundation to growth online and if you can produce organic results like I did from simple implementation then like me, you will be planning for a paid online campaign because once the leads start coming, then you can work on conversion and once you are at least converting then you can start investing in paid growth and you have literally built for yourself something you can be proud of.

Too technical

Book is for begginers. It is basically a technical guide of creating content without understanding the true meaning of it.

Must read!

As a new Curaytor client I have seen Chris Smith implement all of the ideas he gives in this book. There is so many details and good advice that you will need to keep the book as a reference. I'm going to listen to the audible version again and take notes in the hardcover book as I listen along. This book isn't about how to "sell" people. It's about getting in front of people that want to buy and how to turn those people into your sale instead of someone else's.

If he says "Quote unquote" one more time Arghhh!

Would you try another book written by Chris Smith or narrated by Chris Smith?

No. He says "quote unquote" far too often. Drove me nuts!

What will your next listen be?

Fanatical Prospecting

Would you be willing to try another one of Chris Smith’s performances?

No

What character would you cut from The Conversion Code?

"Quote Unquote"

Any additional comments?

His constant "Quote unquote" saying really got on my nerves. Didn't manage to get past the third chapter.

Laser focus

No amazing revelations but excellent framework to focus on what will make a difference in the sales and marketing funnel.
