This special Best of the Harvard Business Review features four articles about top-line growth. They were compiled in the July/August 2004 double issue of the magazine. The first article, "Marketing Myopia", was written by Theodore Levitt in 1960. The second article, "The Middle Manager as Innovator", was written by Rosabeth Moss Kanter in 1982. Then, the third article, "Staple Yourself to an Order", was written by Benson Shapiro, Kasturi Rangan, and John Sviokla in 1992. The fourth and final article, "Value Innovation", by Chan Kim and Renie Mauborgne, first appeared in 1997.
