Anything by Zig Ziglar is worth the price

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I've listened or read Zig Ziglar's contribution to the public for many years. When he passed it was as though I had lost a close friend.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Secrets of Closing the Sale?

There isn't a single moment but rather a compilation of wisdom.

What about Zig Ziglar’s performance did you like?

He is very easy to listen to, keeps you wanting more.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire book moves you, from the content to the presentation.

Great content but bad voice rhythm

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I'm writing this review at just past two hours of listening. This is the first book ever that I want to listen to but get very tired of listening after just 20-30 minutes.

I like the content of good solid advice. However, the way the book is narrated by Ziglar is extremely distracting. I feel as if I'm listening to a preacher that makes everything dramatic. The speaking tone doesn't vary from "IMPORTANT!." The speaking rhythm is the same throughout, as in quick with few pauses. It's not easy to understand the change in sections. It's not easy to understand if I'm listening to advice or a story unless I absolutely stop everything to listen. It's truly not the accent (Southern USA?) but the manner of speaking that makes this a two star listen.

I'm sure Ziglar is a great public speaker, but, to narrate his books, please get someone else.

What did you like best about this story?

Advice. Stories included to make the advice stand out.

Would you be willing to try another one of Zig Ziglar’s performances?

No. Not. At. All.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Secrets of Closing the Sale?

I would only cut the narrator.

Any additional comments?

If it were not that I listen to these types of books better than reading them in print, I would return this book.
